Our first ever visit and from the lovely welcome coming through the door to the great food at great prices will defo be coming back when we next over from Durham. And first ever pork parmo for me it’s a beauty ????????
Went for Sunday lunch we managed to get a table straight away(which was lucky as it got very busy) we both had the roast beef with all the trimmings and my god there was plenty the plate came with beef roast and mash potatoes swede roasted carrots and parsnips stuffing then we got cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding and a bowl off vegetables and jug off gravy absolutely delicious one warning make sure your hungry it’s a belter. Staff very friendly and attentive thank you will be going back as soon as possible

Thoroughly enjoyed our main courses, chips were amazing too. The desert looked amazing but was average and serving cream and custard to pour over it on a slab of slate was a bit strange ????.
Would definitely go back to try something else from the extensive menu and specials board.
There’s another eating place crossed off my list….the young staff were lovely the old staff were arrogant and downright rude… pointless telling anyone about the food cos nothing will change…. Disappointed with the food, looks nice but totally bland and overcooked except the roastie that was nearly raw….watery gravy and cold veg… overpriced and over rated please don’t waste your hard earned cash going here.. they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… how true!
After a few months away from here we went back for a Sunday roast only to be left very disappointed, the prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. Food was cold, mash was very lumpy, the veg was hard and the Yorkshire pudding was burned on top. Ate as much as we could due to being starving but gave up, new staff made the atmosphere uncomfortable. We did complain but were only offered a free desert but as the main was abysmal we politely declined the offer, in conclusion we won’t be returning ever again.

Had my great nephews birthday Sunday lunch their the group had 15 people in it the lunch was outstanding everybody ordered different meals we are hard to please but air Thomas browns definitely delivered on food hats of to the kitchen staff the staff who served us were funny friendly like one of the family great day ????????
