Best KPortal Reviews
We just had a takeaway from here this Sunday afternoon, and it was just all we could wish for and more.
Two delicious portions of Carrot and Coriander soup, one tuna melt panini, one bacon Brie and cranberry panini. Both 10 out of 10. They came with a delicious fresh salad, lovely crunchy high quality crisps, a coleslaw and couscous. Really just amazing- we enjoyed it all so much!!!
They had a lovely selection of cakes. My Irish carrot cake connaisseur husband rated the carrot cake 9.5 out of 10 which is unheard of..
The service was lovely, all the members of staff were so attentive and kind. A lot of little touches that just didn’t go unnoticed.
Will look forward to coming back to this gem of a place again soon!! Wish I had taken more photos of the lunch but we dived straight in.
I particularly liked how everything was served in compostable trays rather than plastic. The only constructive criticism was that the soup was a tiny bit too salty for our taste, but nonetheless delicious. Thanks for a perfect Sunday lunch!
When you are greeted so enthusiastically and warmly, you know it will be a good experience. Dropping my partner off for golf we popped in for lunch first. We had soup, sandwiches, and pudding and all was delicious. My macchiato coffee was quality as well. Couldn’t ask for a better lunch.
Punches above it's weight for a cafe in a wee town. Lovely homemade soups with bread and teal butter and an enticing selection of cakes to tempt. Lovely competent staff, too
Just passing on our way north and decided to give it ago. We found it to be friendly and whilst not that big, there was still plenty of space to get a buggy in, even thoughit was busy. The coffee was OK, not the strongest, but then not everyone likes strong coffee so thats OK, and you can get a large flat white, saves you buying 2 if your needing it. Partner had a grilled vegatable and humas pannini, which she said was very good and I had the macaroni cheese with delicous garlic bread. Prices were average for yhe food so no complaints there. It seems to be a dog friendly place, which I have no problem with, always enjoy other peoples pooches. We would go back again, although not in the area that often, but we enjoyed the food and the jazzie decor in the quiet room.
First visit here, and it won't be our last. We visited with a wheelchair bound disabled man and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Meals were good, staff very friendly and courteous.
Only complaint would be the washroom is not wheelchair friendly but other than that a great little coffee shop, and once again the staff were great
It was our first visit and we are already looking forward to this being our regular coffee and breakfast spot! We had a flat white and mocha and both were very smooth. The full breakfast and bacon roll also didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious! They're also dog friendly, which absolutely made our morning.
Visited a few months ago now, but member of staff who came from the kitchen back area and who I spoke to regarding my slight meal issue (not big issue) had no manners at all, terribly rude, stroppy attitude to say the least. myself and my elderly friend, will likely nevet be revisiting again just based on that aggressive reaction by staff member. the person was a fairly tall slim female, looked like mid forties to 50 years old. My friend at time told me not to leave a review as she was not wanting to cause a massive fuss but after a long time thinking about it, agreed I should review, if only to benifit the cafe owner. We assume the lady was not the owner surely not I would think
Went in for breakfast, had the full breakfast it was excellent, large tea pot of tea.
Dog friendly
Staff were friendly and very helpful
