Great café with delightful lady serving hot & cold snacks /beverages, located on 1st floor on Bodmin Parkway platform (café not accessible to wheelchair users). Had planned to have hot bacon bap after pretty walk from Respryn however café had experienced busy morning, so had run out. Despite this, an excellent range of baps/ sandwiches more than made up for this. Café has a small amount of high stools & window bar table, which means you can consume your items whilst taking in delightful views in this very pretty station, which is decorated with beautiful flowers on its platform. Café has no toilets although the station toilets are located just in front of café & are very clean /well supplied. (Whilst eating our lunch, a beautiful old steam train pulled in, which was delightful. (Cream teas/ afternoon teas & Murder Mystery nights on steam train can be booked on line, pick up leaflet in café. Have taken steam train & had cream tea, as well as walk through Respryn, then lunch at this charming café, both highly recommend. (View from café window & photos of steam train attached).
The old cafe was fantastic, freshly cooked food, great coffee/tea, now it's just put into a warmer and kept under heat making food tasteless and dry. Used to do lovely food, now it's just hopeless.
Nice selection of hot and cold snacks. Limited vegan options. Seating is limited to stalls only.
What a great use of an old signal box. Lively little cafe with reasonable prices and friendly staff. You may even get a view if a steam train. Great sandwiches.
What a little cafe this is. Our train was shortly arriving but this did not stop the lady to rustle up a sausage and egg roll and bacon roll in no time. Both really good and the egg wasn't overcooked at all. I had a sandwich which went down very nicely indeed. The lady who runs the cafe is extremely pleasant, polite and friendly. Well done and thanks!
This little cafe is excellent, they do the best drinks and food ever, our train was due soon but didn't stop them making a nice tea for us absolutely amazing, if they read this, I'm the kid that bought the blue tablet and you gave us 2/3 teas thanks for that, see you soon ????????????????????????☺️????☺️????
Great cup of Hot Chocolate and a piece of Fruit Cake while waiting for the wife's train. Well recommended and the service from the staff was excellent Thank you ????
When it's cold and rainy there is nothing better than a warm and friendly (and minuscule) coffee place like this. Perfect if you wait for the train. Extras: exquisite range of biscuits. Good coffee. Smiling bartender.
