Not good, plenty of chips, one portion was enough for four of us, but the batter on the fish was awful. We all scraped most of it off the fish. It was thick like a paste and as other people have mentioned, yellow in colour, not at all light and crispy. Ugh!
Food from here is great time after time…… There kebab is lovely and you won’t be hungry after.

Disgusting dinner tonight. Clearly reheated from lunch. Cod limp and inedible. Chips no better. How do you mess up chips as a chip shop?? With families spending what little is left of their money with you for a weekend treat - DO BETTER! We won’t be back ever again as this is not the first time we have been disappointed. And we will be telling everyone else we know to swerve you too.
This is our local takeaway fish and chippy. Couldn't survive without them! Their chips are awesome, their service is fab and we are slowly discovering that their kebab meat is also very good. Generous portion, reasonable pricing, quick service, can't fault it.

The fish was hard, rubbery, and almost flavourless, and the batter wasn't very crispy at all.
Chips were okay, good portions and decent prices, and the staff was friendly. But the fish was very disappointing ????
Haydock cooked fresh: very good & large. Chips not so good, been standing too long (15 min. past opening) but still better than some I know. Good value. Recommended.
Not great. Chips and fish are pretty ...mushy, I suppose is the word that springs to mind. I've been in a few times and the only staff member who has the grace to make pleasantries is the manager, otherwise its grunts all round. Kind enough to give my son a lollipop but I'm pretty keen to get what I came for and bolt...
