Well...
Travelled up from Edinburgh to Lewis to stay with friends and googled "breakfast"and Shens popped up.
Despite some negative reviews I thought I would like to find out for myself how the food was.
Ordered two breakfast and two pots of tea.
Asked for tea to come with breakfast.
Breakfast was very very good.
Good quality locally sourced ingredients.
All cooked to our liking apart from the square sausage that was a tad overdone.
The only small criticism would be the two pots of tea.
We paid £5 for two pots but only received one pot that had two one cup tea bags in it.
We were told just to ask for a refill which I did but all the waitress did was put hot water in and no fresh teabags so our tea was like dishwater.
Shame as up until then we had been enjoying the breakfast.
All I all the food was very good but the service and the price of the tea would be enough to put me off going back in.

Food is Amazing ????. Just don't be in hurry. My wife & I went for her lunch break. By the time the food arrived there was Bearley any time to eat.
On my way to the airport popped in for a coffee and a bacon roll. The assistant asked where I was sitting and said she'd bring it over. Ten minutes later another assistant brought my bacon roll without the coffee. There was quite a few people waiting at the counter so no prospect of asking the only staff member there about my coffee. By the time I left the coffee (that I paid for) had never arrived. I don't think that their problems are as much to do with poor staff as a disorganised management. Anyway I wouldn't go back.
Very nice breakfast at an affordable price. Seems to be a popular locals cafe, which is always a good sign
Breakfast on a Tuesday morning before the ferry. Friendly, competent staff and a nice setting. Food could be better (beans cold) but can’t complain for the price. Four coffees and two full breakfasts for £25!
