I have always been looked after quite well considering the situation these days especially by nurse Joe who is an absolute knockout looking after people in need .she is an asset at Sheldon health centre without doubt.
I beg anyone looking at the reviews for this place to read mine.
Wish I could give this joke of a medical centre no stars because the staff here are responsible for my mother dying.
Dr Amjad, time and time again, gave my mother the wrong prescriptions for an unknown illness and chalked her off as nothing but an alcoholic when the facts are, I was looking after her at home and she was unable to walk, hallucinating, and soiling herself because the doctors here, particularly Dr Amjad, refused to give her the help she desperately needed before it was too late.
Her brother (my uncle) was sat on the phone for 30 MINUTES trying to convince Dr Amjad that my mom was seriously ill and needed urgent help and she dismissed it all as her being an alcoholic.
Now my mother has been taken from me and our family because the staff here have let her down. They refused to acknowledge her illness, kept giving her incorrect prescriptions that only made her more ill and would not listen to what she had to say. I have listened to the arguments she has had over the phone to you and the way you talked to her was disgusting.
You do not deserve to be in any line of work, let alone GP’s.
I hope the guilt weighs down on you all, particularly Dr Amjad, for the rest of your lives.
If i could give 0 stars, i would. I have had 5 appointments in the last 3 months to have a smear test done, and all 5 have been cancelled without them informing me that they were cancelled until I turned up at reception to say that I was here. I ask why they can’t call me to notify me that it has been cancelled and they just shrug their shoulders.
I've lost out on 3 afternoons worth of pay due to these appointments (all of which have not happened) and all they can do is shrug their shoulders. Can’t get through to them on the phone either.
It should not take 6 months to try and schedule an appointment and be seen for something quite serious. The receptionist also asked me what my appointment was for, and insisted i told her at the desk in front, even though the waiting room was full of other patients. This was something extremely embarrasing for me, and was very unproffesional on their behalf.
I can honestly say this is the worst medical practice I have ever come across. Poorly run, and they do not care about wasting people's time.
Horrible surgery, I was a patient between 2012 - 2015, when I got pregnant I was feeling really bad, couldn`t get appointment for a week. Receptionist tole me pregnancy is not an illness and I should be queuing everyday with other patients so I might get lucky get one!! I swap the surgeries and immediately I have been treated with few difficulties. for my son, with the cough i have been prescribed steroids when luckily I have consulted with different doctor who told me it is asthma! few wrong diagnoses. Big misunderstanding that place is. Stay away
Dr Amjad is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She does not handle patients with care, nor does she respect them. I was shocked with how dismissive she was towards issues and nosey in areas that did not have any relevance. Would not recommend her service to anyone, however the nurse was polite. I would recommend any other practice, or even a walk-in centre as I had received better support from them, including diagnosis.
It took me ages to get through on the phone even though I was "second in the queue". Can't sort out an appointment as the doctor is working from home (essential worker much?). The doctor tells me she's prescribed me some medicine and it will be ready to collect in the afternoon. Call the pharmacy in the afternoon and they've heard nothing, the doctor didn't even bother sending the prescription... Finally manage to get back through to the doctors before the end of the day and the woman on the desk said "the doctor is working from home, she will sort it out this evening". I KNOW she's working from home, and apparently not doing any work either and the pharmacy is almost closed so there's no chance it's getting done today.
So now I have to wait until Monday to get my pain killers... What an absolute joke of a medical centre. The doctor is getting paid too much to sit around at home and not bother with her patients.
I attend this Surgery when I have to and need too and have been a patient there since 1998 !
I have lots of issues in life and attended and have always been looked after and attended yesterday and was certainly looked after as usual by reception and the GP herself .
I really do know the pressure you are all under and I’m just grateful at times to get appt !
They are all free imagine if we had to pay ?

It’s a lovely surgery and I like the fact can see same Doc ! For me that’s a big thing hate the fact of seeing any Doc in a massive Surg ?
When she’s training I see the others no issue at all but that’s fine too as she always checks in and I wonder how she does it all ?
This surgery is really good and every time I go there the reception is good and I love it ,,
There is a new receptionist who is as rude and confrontational as anything. She needs to be sacked! Being a gp's receptionist does not make you lord over people. I called on Monday 09/11/2020 @ 10:18. She was trying to play Doctor. When I told her I could not find he suggested prescription over the counter, it became an argument. VERY RUDE AND CONFRONTATIONAL!!!
