went for the walk after New Year. wasn't so many people. Was amazing day, lovely weather and we enjoyed. Very clean, a lot benches, you can sit and enjoy the view. Recommend to visit.
The Isle of Sheppey is a beautiful place to stay and explore. It has a wonderful coastline with plenty of sandy beaches and stunning views. There are also plenty of activities to do, such as visiting the historic Sheerness Beech, which has a lovely cafe and a wonderful view of the sea. The area is also home to some great wildlife, such as seals and seabirds, which can be spotted from the beach. Overall, the Isle of Sheppey is a great place to visit and explore, and the Sheerness Beech is a great place to take in the stunning views and enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
I recently visited the Isle of Sheppey for a weekend getaway and I had the pleasure of staying in Sheerness Beech. It was a lovely spot with great views and a pleasant atmosphere. The beach was clean and the sand was soft and inviting. There were plenty of activities to do, including swimming, kayaking, and building sandcastles. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Sheerness Beech and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach getaway.
I've been using it for years because it's closest to me. A beach like a beach. Stones and that's it. Often warm water. Located in a charming town.
Major major plastic pollution every meter of this long beach. Some locals are clearly attempting to clean what they can evidenced by the piles of debre collected and left by the council bins.
However it is clear that the problem is on a scale that only the government and local council can deal with.
Visited yesterday. The beach was very clean. Families spending time together, dog walkers, time to stop and enjoy the sunshine.
Bit of a random beach. Some sandy patches. Lots of pebbles. When tide goes out there’s mud. Quite windswept beaches with open skies. There’s some interesting beach combing opportunities with sea glass and amber and the occasional shark tooth.
Lovely flat promenade and pebble beach great for dog walking (dog waste bins provided, cycling (marked cycle path) prams, wheelchair users including motorised.
Located on the Isle of Sheppey. The surrounding area is quiet and a little abandoned looking.
There is a huge wall blocking the beach from the neighbouring homes to prevent the sea getting in.
Unlike a lot of beaches where you are instantly memorised by the smell of the sea and the awe inspiring blue as you arrive, it is not there in Sheerness.
The beach is pebbly with some sand underneath and the sea is inviting. It is a great place to chill and take it all in.
It is a local beach so overcrowding is unlikely to occur.
If you live in the South East of London, it is less than an hour to get to (giving traffic conditions).
There is not a whole lot to do in the beach area but I think it is enough, especially if your little one enjoys it.
