had fish cake &chips and beefburger &chips last Saturday evening haveint been here for a couple of yrs thought I'd give them another chance but they start off ok then it goes downhill awfull chips like scraps from the fryer fishcake was precooked from dinner time never again they should be closed down at this rate always empty
I'm actually so disappointed. Why are your chips like the scraps?? Attached pictures of how much was edible. Absolutely not worth the money paid
Some of the best fish and chips i'v ever had, somehow its always quiet so service is very fast, decor and signage is a bit outdated but overall excellent value for money
We had Cod, Chips, Sausage in Batter and Curry Sauce and finished the lot. For starters the price is very good £2 for chips and it was a massive portion, I’ve paid a lot more for large at other places and not got as many. The chips were nice, I won’t lie I’ve had better but they were up there. The sausage in batter was spot on just how I like and good quality. The cod did taste nice than it looked, the batter wasn’t as light and fluffy as some others but still nice and the cod itself was nice and at that price £3.80 for a cod I was impressed. Lastly the curry sauce, the flavour was bang on the money but as someone mentioned it could be a touch thicker, but being thinner it did seem to last longer and I would definitely have it again. Both the staff, man and woman were very friendly. (I’ve posted a price list to help others)
The 'COD' is not cod but some kind of prebattered frozen type
Resembled haddock in shape but truly awful,worst batter I've tasted and the fish is disgusting

Why not cook Chinese,??
normally nice and nice price to but stop going there as chips are to hard like eating left over from day b4. . need to change their potatoes and learn how to cook proper. i cant afford to buy your chips to throw in bin at £2 a time how the hell the food inspection let you get away with this i dont know.
It's like walking into a time capsule of a chippy from the 90's Chips are definitely hit or miss. Sometimes great sometimes tastes like mud.
Burger was nice but I only wanted a Burger but had Burger chips and prawn crackers????? And paid for it! Listen to what I asked for!
