Decided to finally pop in with children Monday night. This place was really nice and clean and the lad behind the counter was very well mannered and helpful.
There was no loud music (like most of these dessert places do) so we could actually have a nice conversation with each and choose what we wanted to order without having to scream across the table.
We were served quickly and with a smile. The member of staff was really polite and helpful.
We ordered a waffle, a Fererro Rocher cookie dough & a Kinder Bueno cookie dough (they have a buy one get on free on the cookie dough right now ????)
The waffle was so fresh and fluffy it was delicious and the cookie dough's were really nice, a little too crispy at the bottom for my liking but overall it was lovely.
I would 100% be visiting again.
Great service, great décor, nice and clean (didn't go to the toilets, but my son went to the gents to wash his hands - no qualms from him about the cleanliness in there)

I ordered through Just Eat at 8.20pm. The app said it would be 30 to 45 minutes wait. I had to call twice and the order arrived at 9.45pm following numerous calls to the shop. When the order arrived it was incomplete and so the driver came back to deliver the remainder. The order was STILL incomplete and was missing icecream with all 3 cookie doughs. When I called the shop to inform them and ask for a refund I was not offered a apology or a good will gesture. Instead they argued with me and told me that it was complimentary icecream so no refund would be offered despite the fact that the puddings ordered were incomplete. I was told that a manager would call me back no call was received. The cookie dough was burnt at the bottom, dry and without icecream and I was compelled to use my own icecream to complete the dish and the chocolate fudge cake was dry and stale and was served with melted icecream. Appalling service and terrible food! Extremely bad customer service would never return.
The response below is inaccurate. The driver did not call me... i continued ringing your shop who then called the driver. The order did not arrive at 9.20pm which can be verified by your shop as my call to them was at 9.30pm followed by 9.40 pm. Despite leaving my number I did not get a call back, Iam suprised that they are still trying to argue and then defend themselves when in fact they should be looking at keeping customers happy.
Paid £5 and waited 20 minutes for the tiniest strawberries and all I got was "No ones complained before" don't waste your time. Go to Choccoberry!!
First time ordering from Shakehouse and won't be ordering again. Reading other reviews it seems others have a similar experience.
We ordered collection and had to wait 40 minutes longer than our specified collection time. This was an inconvenience but understand Friday evenings are a busy time...
The main issue is regarding the service and atmosphere. The manager was clearly in a very bad mood - he was shouting and swearing at the employees in front of customers. It creates a very hostile atmosphere and not professional at all.
Once we got the waffles home, the Ferrero rocher pieces were missing from one of the waffles (probably forgotten due to the staff member being told off and shouted at).
Also the ice-cream tasted like gas... very odd flavour. I think they need to check their machines.

Is milkshake for myself. All I see is the shop being closed. I checked the timing, and clearly, it says that the shop opens at 3pm and is closed at 11pm. Yesterday 8pm, I was going there and I saw the shop closed. I absolutely found this disgusting and disturbing. If you are not opening, then at least leave a note on a door so that everyone knows about it. What is the reason why your shop closed every single time? Why is your rating so bad? Why aren't you buying a product? Coming back to your shop and I found out that your ice cream tub is finished is absolutely shocking. Very disappointing. I hope you can improve those feedback from all the customers that they left the review for your status.
Ordered from here a few times, however tonight I’ve been really disappointed! Ordered a couple of milkshakes and soft drink and cookie dough.
The cookie dough was absolutely fine. However the milkshakes tasted absolutely vile. Left a sour and mouldy like taste in our mouths and my 411 strawberry soft drink arrived in a frozen pot and replaced my ice cream that was supposed to arrive with the cookie dough!
I rang the shop and the lady on the phone was very apologetic and offered a replacement shake, but only if I picked it up (defeated the whole point of order a takeaway). I had to decline as my children were in bed. I asked if it was possible to have the money of the shake refunded but was soon met with having to ask her manager and then took my name and number and said would call back.
Now looking through the reviews I don’t think I’d be receiving a phone call from the manager and that many people have had gone off shakes with no refund or accountability for selling and preparing gone off ingredients!
Be mindful if you’re going to be ordering a milkshake from this place!
We will never come to this place again. We sat in with our children and waited an hour for 2 waffles and a shake! The shake wasn’t even what we asked for, and it they never made a replacement! We were never offered anything to apologise! Just a sorry from the manager which wasn’t good enough! Terrible service! We will go elsewhere next time! AVOID!!
Ordered from here. Have ordered in the past and not had issues.
Received the food / drinks, the waffles were fine but all 3 milkshakes tasted gone off and is if the milk or ice cream had spoilt.
Rang back up and spoke to a guy who couldn’t be any less helpful just saying he can’t do anything about it. So don’t order a milkshake unless you want some gone off milk and enjoy a phone call with a brick wall.
