“I recently dined at [SHAHJEEs Restaurant & Takeaway]. I Travelled from Newcastle to Nottingham especially for this dinner. The reservation was easy to make, atmosphere and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating our special requests. The ambiance was great, and the food definitely lived up to my expectations and if you visit the restaurant, you should too. The dishes was extremely delicious . This is a must-try if you are looking for a nice cozy place for dinner. ”
Been 2 years since I have been ordering from their shop. They were good before however, recently they are just increasing the price and on the other hand, food quality is shockingly low and bad. Yesterday I ordered this Keema Karaile and this is what I have found inside the food. It makes me vomit and sick. I feel like they’re just robbing people hard hard-earned money and have no respect whatsoever for Customer care. This needs to go to the Council. They don’t deserve to run a shop where people might get killed due to food safety issues.
Delicious food, thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything is freshly prepared and has homemade flavours. The chaats, as you can see from the photos, tasted yummy. Friendly people and good atmosphere. The menu is excellent with a variety of foods on offer. They also do Punjabi breakfast, which I heard is quite popular.
EDIT: my first review is below. I went back to this place, big regret.
I purchased a beef curry and there was a single piece of meat and a bone. It was a ridicule of the paying customer. I didn’t complain, I ate and promised never to return.
OLD REVIEW:
Service: Adequate but inattentive.
Cleanliness: The restaurant was clean and very tidy.
Atmosphere: We went in for breakfast and the restaurant was busy but not too busy. I like the fact it’s quiet and loud music is not being played.
Food: Ordered aloo gosht with paratha and desi tea. Also ordered a biryani. There was a delay in the food arriving but the food was tasty and authentic.
One thing to improve: the breakfast menu was crumpled and sticky - these should be replaced and kept clean.
Will definitely come back soon!
Food was decent came home to find nearly empty boxes only 3 spoons of halwa in the box and channei usually full was empty.. always check your food before leaving.
My cousin and I were so looking forward to trying the chaat thali, and it lived up to our expectations! Absolutely delicious, service was pretty quick and we also got some chicken tikka which was very tasty. The naan had plenty of butter and was yummy.
Chai to finish a superb meal. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes, and will definitely be having the chaat thali and chicken tikka again too!
If you're in the mood for some delicious Indian food, then head over to the ShahJEE restaurant????! The food is flavorful and authentic, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to try their breakfast "Parantha" with "Lahori chana"???? and the size of Parantha is big enough for 1 person. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, and it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal with friends or family.????
The taste and quality of the food is amazing tasty and fresh.We ordered karahi which was brilliant and freshly made popadoms.
Naan bread wasn't good they need to change the dough recipe.
Average sitting , parking can be difficult to find.They serve fresh on order Asian tea as well.
