This is a well established place that has been open for many years so I was wanting to try it out. Ordered a fried chicken burger meal, donner wrap and chicken & chips.
I’ll start with the negatives. The chicken burger (as pictured) is anorexic, I’d say there was only around 70% of chicken in that bun, the rest; air. Taste was passable, not amazing but not bad either.
The donner wrap, I would not order this again. The donner required a lot of sauce to get past the “processed” taste.
Positives. Food was made quite quickly. Pleasant service. The chicken and chips were VERY nice. This would be the only reason I’d return. I’d recommend the mint and chilli sauce on the chips.
I know the owner reads and comments on these reviews so I’m hoping he takes this criticism on board and improves the dining experience.
Food is okay but the service is terrible. The lads who are running the store now have no clue how to treat loyal customers. They are very awkward when asked for extra chilli sauce, and refused to give me an extra tub that I was willing to pay for. The member of staff said ‘you don’t need it’ but when I got home and opened my food I saw that there was barely any chilli sauce on the food.
When I called in to express my disappointment, the member of staff said ‘bring the food I’ll pour the entire bottle of chilli sauce on it’ and proceeded to get very rude with me.
This has happened many times before but I was hesitant to leave a negative review as my dad knows Jav and we have been going to the store for many years. But enough is enough, consider this a customer lost.
Nice Chicken sandwich and a slice of pizza. Prefer a double sandwich and donner wrap
Absoloute terrible service the lad looked like he couldn't be arsed, and they told me it would be 10mins but took over half an hour. The cheese burger had no cheese and the pizza had no flavour, but it did have 2 or 3 strands of hair in it if you look at the picture on top of the green pepper there is hair. They use the fact that not many places are open late night against you and take the benefit of doubt. Avoid!!
Never eat from this place ever again, absolutely horrible and overpriced. Got peri burger which is normal fillet burger ( peri burgers are grilled burger if you wasn’t aware), baby portion, chips were horrible, probably worst place I ever ate from. Wouldn’t even feed it to my dogs
I would personally say this is probably the best southern fried chicken place in Bradford!
Their recipe for the coating is different, has great flavour, and has been consistent for decades. Believe me, you can go on eating this stuff forever.
Sauces, chips and salad are pretty basic but compliment the chicken well enough.
It's not a dine in place. It's best for pick up and delivery and it opens early evening til late.
If you like your chicken lovely and crispy, topped with Donner, look no further than SFC! Option of Donner was my choice :-) I've been going to SFC for many years, as a returning customer says it all.
