Newly refurbished (Aug 2016). No structural change inside, but cleaned & redecorated, with new furniture. Very nice inside now. Food menu unusual platters of meat, seafood, bread etc - very good food and pleasant service. Small garden/yard out back. This pub is much improved, and deserves another look.
Quiet on the two midweek evenings I've been. Very clean as recently refurbished. No local ciders but Mena Dhu Cornish stout. Not tried the food but agree with another post that it's a nice pub.
Had a fantastic time here on Saturday night. Landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome as we were visiting st Austell. Guinness is great and that's an Irishman endorsing it!!!!
Good value roast dinner. You won't feel hungry after eating this home cooked style roast. Friendly local characters at the bar.
This lovely little pub has huge potential but unfortunately unless you're close friends or family of the landlady you will never be able to hear the sound of the terrible background TV over the gentle whoosh of the tumbleweed..........
Nice little pub but poor range of beer and no atmosphere when I was there but it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
Lovely friendly pub. Great range of local beer from the St Austell Brewery and good selection of gin.
Lovely pub, gorgeous beer and a lovely roaring fire on a damp night. What more could you ask for ????????
