Really nice place for breakfast / brunch. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is also excellent, a hidden gem!
The food was excellent, I had a bacon sausage and egg baguette and it was really good. Also had chips and they were great as well.
People I came with had jacket Potato with tuna and the porridge they kindly made with soya milk.
Couldn’t fault it. Thanks very much
The cafe is large and offers two sides, one for/with dogs and one without. It is quite spacious and there is a section that provides a little museum of the heritage of the restaurant and the grounds that the restaurant is on. My brother had a good size breakfast and I had a mushroom omelette with bubble and squeak on the side. With both had a cuppa, it was near cut off time as they stop serving hot food at 3pm. I thought it was a little expensive for lunch for two people (£30), but maybe that is effect of the cost of living these days. The second time I have been and the service was not too bad, we had to wait a while for our drinks but once the lady realised we got everything in due course and not much waiting at all. The staff were welcoming and polite it was a nice atmosphere. It is a place that I have recommended.
The coffee is amazing. The young lady (Irena?) Is so friendly and certainly knows her stuff! She is a little diamond!
Good dog-friendly cafe with a small museum area which is interesting to view. I haven't eaten there (yet) but the coffee is worth the visit alone!
Nice café and a little museum of the Garrison.. off the beaten track if you don't know it's there.
Found it by accident a while ago..
Just down the path inwards from the Gun emplacement..
Great place for meeting friends. They do a lovely breakfast which is cooked well and includes coffee. The staff are very friendly and chatty (which I like) and it is also dog friendly. I don't have a dog myself but love to pet other peoples dogs.
Just a really lovely atmosphere.
Not bad coffees etc but probably the worst milkshake I’ve ever had and at £6 for what effectively was milk and a chocolate bar blended together at a premium price is shocking.
Consistency of milk - weak taste and don’t even put cream on top - price does not match the quality
Great cafe with really friendly staff. Food is excellent and really good value . Highly recommended ????
Staff are very efficient and friendly, food is superb and excellent value for money. Its always busy which just goes to show how good it is!
