Really friendly staff and top service. Definitely recommend choosing the Staithes Cobble Cake, which is apparently unique to this café specifically. It was similar to a cross between carrot cake and apple pie, made with apricots, walnuts, and stewed apple. Served warm with cream and it was delicious.
What a little gem by the sea at Staithes..any visitor must try the secret family recipe Yorkshire Coble cake, GLUTEN FREE option is available as well as gf sandwiches. Visited here whilst on holiday, the staff were very friendly and food and coffee were excellent. THANKYOU
We had the Coble cake and cream and two coffees. The sign said Very Good Coffee. This is a lie, it's Excellent Coffee! And the cake is also Excellent! Well worth going to Staithes for this
I note they've got a lot of good reviews for various things, but unfortunately you cannot include milkshakes in that. Bought two chocolate milkshakes but it was basically thin milk with no detectable added flavour, which wasn't the best return for approx. £4 each.
I would have scored less than 1, served through a letterbox type hatch, ordered 2 scones with jam and cream, and 2 coffee's when they were ready they shouted through the hatch! I went to collect them through the letterbox hatch i was surprised that jam and cream were already on the scones and they were in a bag, sorry I expected a plate and to put jam and cream on myself, other customers were shouted to the back door.
Scones come with whipped cream and jam already on in a bag. Cappuccino is instant weak coffee with froth on top. The tables aren't cleaned down after use.
Wonderful Cobler cake, so light, fluffy and tasty. Closely guarded family recipe, so eat here while you can! Coffee was decent too, and brilliant view, what’s not to like?

Lovely surprise on visit to Sea Drift Cafe Staithes today. Lovely hot Latte and amazing Gluten free Cobble Cake and cream which I could enjoy along with my husband who had the non gluten free version. Lovely staff . Well worth a visit to a traditional family run cafe by the beach. Lots of other food on the menu too
