Best KPortal Reviews
I dined at this restaurant recently and was thoroughly impressed. However, I was disappointed to find out that they didn't offer the traditional lamb's soup with the shanks or shoulder. Nonetheless, the friendly staff provided me with great service, which made up for the disappointment. The prices were fair, and the Somali dishes were absolutely delicious. They were bursting with authentic flavors that took me to another world. I highly recommend trying their menu for an unforgettable culinary experience.
I went there couple of times and the food is so delicious I would recommend it and will go back again the service and atmosphere are great the best Somali restaurant I have ever been in.
My Somali friend brought me there for the 1st time, she was greeted and communicated with from the start. I was not, they did not even look at me because I was not Somali. The food was dull and dry, I would not visit there again.
Fantastic service and a brilliant experience. I would definitely recommend and will be coming again. Also special mention to our waiter Anas and Abdullahi sujuu very friendly very helps and above all very patient with us as first timers we felt very welcome.
I have been going to Savanah Birmingham since I discovered it. Now in Ramadan it has been even more delightful for iftar.
If you want to taste East African food but with a fusion there is no other place I can think of in all of UK. The menu also has other dishes and the wings and lamb shoulder are delicious, filling and great value.
All the staff are friendly, attentive and you are welcomed and attended to an exceptional standard.
The decor and atmosphere is amazing too. I was so busy enjoying the experience I didn’t take photos but the smile should show how satisfied I was. All my guests have praised it too.
Spaghetti was fresh and very decent, the chicken was a little over cooked however the sauce was nice. Salad with salad cream. Salmon was average, could do with more marination. Also service could do with a touch of improvement.
It may be worth a visit for you if you like Somali cuisine. Overall 3.1/5
We’ve had the best experience at this restaurant last night, the staff and service the atmosphere is 5*. The staff, the managers they were so welcoming and were nice to us and my daughter. Thank you so much guys. Keep up the good work. Somali hanoolato ????????????????
I visited Savannah Restaurant with three friends and was disappointed by the experience. Despite prior warnings from others, we faced long waits to order and receive our food, and our requests for salad and chili were ignored. This was particularly frustrating during iftar, and the lack of attention to female guests was noticeable. An attempt to address our concerns with the owner was unhelpfully dismissed. Given the high prices, I cannot recommend Savannah until they improve their service and customer care.
