What a fantastic little gem of country food pub we found when we came past the Saracens Head. Me and my dad stopped here for Sunday lunch. This pub is in a great location with plenty of parking and a massive beer garden. There is also a outside area for the children.
Also they have a play barn for the children I believe it's open 7 days a week!
So me and my dad both had a Sunday roast it was absolutely banging! Such big portions, I thought we had double but it was a standard size, the meat was lovely it almost melted in your mouth. They make there own homemade yorkshire puddings which are massive and so tasty. The whole meal was flavoursome.
We were served by a lovely young lady named Natalie. She couldn't do enough for us and all the other customers in at the time, she has wonderful customer service skills and vibrant personality from what we could make out.
This is definitely a place we shall be coming back to! 5***** from us.

Service was awful- waited 30 before asking for someone to take our order. Then waiting an hour for our food to turn up. It turned up wrong, cold and burnt!!

The new chef is amazing, the food is on point. Service was exceptional.
The only reason i couldn't give it 5 stars was because we needed the desert on take out when we needed it, it is a new chef so we need to see if the quality is maintained. So this review may change to 5 stars in the future.
Not been here for 15+ years, when you used to be able to get 2 for £10. Ordered the sirloin @ £20, thought I was gonna get the usual pub standard food but honestly this was amazing, everything on the plate just tasted like quality.
Will definitely be making the 30 mile trip to eat here again.
Staff v nice and good service, nice pub, food mixed. Roasts weren't overly warm and beef dry. Turkey roast much nicer.lovely play area for younger kids.great in summer
We held our son’s first birthday party at the Saracens Head and had a wonderful time. Natalie was very helpful in organising the food/space for the party and was really accommodating with the increase in numbers for food/guests. The staff were fantastic on the day and the food was great. We highly recommend the Saracens Head for events. Thank you! ☺️
Loved our visit today for my mums birthday. Fantastic food. Inside very modern and traditional and spotless! Lovely gardens and play area for the kids although would of loved a swing for toddlers and a little toddler play area there is plenty space for it! Oh and the new member of staff in the background of this pic here is a credit to you! Lovely addition! All the staff we met were friendly and no question too big or small. Food was to die for! Especially their Sunday roast ????
Assistant manager was amazing with us both really friendly and food was really quick. Christmas decorations really adds an amazing feel to the place. Great pricing and you get a perfect quantity of food. Will be coming back in the near future.
