We found shelter in this restaurant while there was a huge storm outside. From the outside you wouldn't think of the amazing quality served inside. Probably the best fish and chips we had on our whole trip. Highly recommended...
We arrived around 7pm because there was no other place to eat nearby. We could only order takeaway but were told that we could eat in the bar next door.
Oasis my ar&e… about as welcoming as a visit to the dentist for root canal work. Jumpy, inhospitable staff who tell you upon arrival that the cosy looking tables are reserved for staff (yes, just reserved all day long) and then won’t even let you move a chair to another table despite the place being empty. No way they deserve anyone’s money on the “hospitality” business… I bet the owner doesn’t know this is how the customers are treated…
Absolutely shocking service and very very rude staff. We were basically asked to leave if we couldn’t settle our dog. Makes it sound like he was barking constantly which he wasn’t, when other dog owners came in their dogs barked also. What they failed to notice was the people round the corner from us who had several dogs who were barking…so it wasn’t even our dog yet we were singled out. They need to be taught how to speak to people given they are in the hospitality trade. Don’t say you’re dog friendly when you clearly aren’t. I couldn’t even say they are people friendly either. Avoid this place like the plague.
Having read others reviews I was a little worried, but the barman was welcoming and friendly, the pizzas from the takeaway were delicious, the atmosphere was great! I would definitely go again
The place is abysmal. Unfriendly staff who are actually very rude. Really did not feel welcomed at all. I wonder if the owners know how badly the place is being run. The staff need sacked - or intensive training on how to be nice to people and how to crack a smile. Please don’t spend your hard earned cash in here folks.
Book early for campsite if you want electric hook up, we didn’t and site was full when we got there. The town has a few £10 parking spots for the night.
Pub was lovely to sit for a drink, if you’re planning on having food I would stick to the chips they were great, unfortunately the pizza was overpriced and not very edible.
Stayed 1 night on our tour,popped in for a pint & a pizza, lovely,staff great & dog friendly(unless your dog is being unruly & aggravating people). Will return
