Update: for our 2nd deliveroo order, we had lemon chicken, sweet and sour prawn balls and vegetable fried rice.
My friend was impressed by the portion size of the chicken. I was impressed by the presentation - it looked beautiful.
The prawn balls were great again and went very well with the veg rice.
The delivery service was also better than the first time, as they put it on my doorstep as requested. My 'atmosphere' rating is for the delivery.

Tasty Chinese meal for 2 for my first order from this takeaway.
Great prawn balls - 10 in a light, crispy batter with tails left on for presentation, with a rich, sweet sauce supplied in a separate container.
Mixed veg Chow Mein had crispy fresh veg and noodles in a rich, smokey sauce.
Roast Duck Chinese style - looked great but my friend was disappointed that the duck was only on the top layer and the rest of the container was bean sprouts. My friend expected more meat for their money and topped up with some of my prawns.

Deliveroo driver arrived on schedule and food was hot.
However, we were upset that they ignored instructions on order and wouldn't leave food outside door. Instead they wanted us to take the food out of the Deliveroo box, so no social distancing at all.
Great food but disappointing first experience of Deliveroo.
It's been a few times now that I have ordered a take away from this place, all food are ok but specially Pork ribs, It's a shamble, a very low quality and awful. They use lots of soft bone awful ribs poorly cooked, every time I see the quality is going down hill. Also prawn dishes are very low in quantity compare to its price.
Quick and polite service. Never been here before. Ordered chicken with bamboo shoots and water chesnuts and pinapple in syrup.
The bamboo shoots were inedible, the texture of chewing wood. The rest was delightful.
Ordered "sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice TWICE" and a "Chow mein and egg fried rice". A simple order that they got wrong (missing one of the chicken ball meals). Chow mein and rice was acceptable but the chicken balls were disgusting, overcooked crunchy and very greasy. Shall NOT be returning here.
Not even a star, customer service was awful I have never ordered from here before and I will never do it again. Food was smelling off.

The great reviews confuse me. Was I just unlucky? I've been eating Chinese food for over 40years now and I can say without doubt this is the worst I've ever eaten. Firstly, I ordered 'chicken chow mien' (£7.20)and 'Sams mixed starters for two'(£11.00). When it turned up it was lukewarm, at best. It came in 2 small containers.
Firstly the mixed starters box. The two ribs in the container were dry and 'old' tasting. The smoked chicken was rubbery and tasted of nothing. The spring rolls tasted reheated as did the tiniest samosas I've ever seen. At the bottom of the container was the seaweed which was ok.
Now for the 'chow mein'. Where do I start. It was dry, no juices of ANY kind. The chicken was barely noticeable. The noodles were over cooked. I'd say the overall dish compromised of, 92% stodgy noodles, 6% chicken and 2% bean sprouts(if that). Didn't notice any onion. I only managed 1/3 of that dish. Truly awful meal. Will never return.
