Worst surgery. Has gone down over time. Never able to get an appointment. Reception staff are clueless, don't acknowledge your standing there they will be chatting amongst themselves. Dont ever answer the phones.
Had an appointment at saltley surgery once I arrived was told the dr had gone to fernbank once reached fernbank had found out after 40
Mins of waiting dr isnt here and my appointment can be re arranged by staff member ikra dr then arrived one hour late.
Had another appointment where was booked in for telephone triage at 15:20 and recieved telephone call at 5:30pm
Was told by Hamad the receptionist this isnt a telephone appointment and is a call back when doctors are free.
Receptionist at fernbank are arrogant and not Welcoming, and not ready to help.
Old reception staffing needs to be brought back and new ones need to be trained
Difficult to get an appointment as waiting in the queue past 25 mins for the phone to be disconnected.
Surgery is failing overall.
Absolutely appealing GP surgery, I received a text that my appointments confirmed , when I got in the surgery, the receptionist said, oh it was a mistake, by mistake we sent you an appointment for a blood test. How ridiculous, you wasted my morning. This surgery needs many changes, in appointments and staff, you hardly ever can get an appointment ever .
Called the surgery to rearrange an appointment and shockingly it said I'm no. 1 in the queue. 20 mins later and still no one answered. Then they complain that people don't turn up to appointments and waste their time and cost them money. Maybe if they spent some money employing people who do their jobs right and answer calls like a receptionist ought to then they might have less of a problem.
i find it odd that some people have given low marks for this surgery, My recent visit was very enjoyable from the welcoming receptionist Shahida right up to being seen by the doctor - whole process was well managed by the Saltley centre. The trick here is to have a little bit more patience either on the phone to the surgery or in the queue at the centre - You will find its a very well run practice overall. I was no.20 in the phone queue when i rang - within 10 mins i was no.1
btw, the Health Centre is doing a valuable job - providing a much needed Health service to one of the most deprived areas of Brum. I think they deserve a litle bit of patience while we await our turn in the queue.
Absolute waste of space surgery! Cannot ever get an appointment when you require it. Called and told you can have an appointment in over 2 weeks! The walk in centre by the surgery (which my appointment was booked to by MY surgery) is equally as bad. Have started a complaints procedure. Was told the person I was talking to, Samina/Sameena is the one who looks at the complaints. Not good enough!!!!
My son is severely autistic and needed an emergency appointment his GP hadn't got any so I was sent with him, I went to the reception to be ignored while she chatted away no hello can I help, to be told I had to use around the back they were lovely there pleasant lady on desk and the lady Dr was lovely and friendly so thank you
Don't go here!!!!! Never answer calls unless you wait 1 hour. They say ring at 8:30 to get appointments, I ring and they're either closed the line or by the time it's my turn no more appointments. Ask personal and confidential questions and judge you with smug replies. I had a blood test booked today, took the day off work and they said sorry no doctors note for blood test so not doing, they send text messages of appointment but can't be bothered to tell me that they can't do blood test without a reason. I'm leaving with my whole family. Been trying to get an appointment for 3 flipping years. I'm done.
This is one of the worst surgery’s I have come across I have been trying to get a appointment for over a month everyday I ring to book a appointment I be in a queue of 20 people the appointments will be gone when my call gets Ansared it is ridiculous this has gone worse over time
