We loved being with this practice, Mr Armstrong was the best dentist and only one I've trusted my entire adult life! But this Safehands have decided to only provide private dental services. Inaccessible to the majority of the population and only my 13 year old was sent a letter asking us to sign her up for private dental care, to this day my partner and myself have not received any notification and I'm pretty sure children under 16 are supposed to get NHS dental care regardless.
After 14 years with the practice and no warning of their changing to private dental care only, I'm very upset that money comes over their patients needs not just in oral hygiene but in mental health- as this has caused myself, and I'm sure a lot of others, a great deal of anxiety and grief at a time when we're all concerned about our finances.
Thanks Safehands and goodbye, we won't be back.
The best dentist I’ve ever had ! He makes you at ease and it’s a huge shame they had to go private but the NHS didn’t want to help them out so they had to go this way as many have. It is a big shame but a norm now we have to get use to! So if you want a great dentist pick this one ! You will not be disappointed!!!
Another GREEDY DENTIST gone private leaving more people without a dentist that cannot afford massive private denplan fees!
We got a letter saying dentist going private from December so rang in September to get an NHS appointment before December deadline. We was told sorry he has given notice to NHS so no appointment allowed. So letter stating December was a lie!!!!
No wonder more people opting for full implants. Although intial cost is expensive overall its cheaper option as no more dentist worries or costs. As we cannot afford £15 a month just for 2 checkup a year then fillings at £200 a pop, my husband & I are now looking into permanent implants on 0% finance!!!
Short notice appointment the two receptionist are lovely and very helpful. The Dentist I saw was very professional and sorted out my tooth. He's retiring soon I'm sure he will be missed by all his patients. I would recommend this dental practice.
I had an emergency appointment here and they were absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming, friendly and explained clearly what they could do to help. I felt calm and that I was in good hands.
In particular, the way the staff spoke to each other with warmth and care really stood out. Mark praised his staff throughout and explained what he was doing as he worked. Thank you safe hands ????
I find the experience at this dentists very satisfactory as I’m a very nervous patient and I’m always put at ease and have confidence whilst there , the dental nurses also greet you with a kind word to reassure and put you at ease .
The receptionists treat you with respect and do there best to fit you in at a convenient time .
Thank you for a very positive experience and good outcome from my treatment which I finished today.
Been at this dentists since I was born! I'm in my 30s. Never had a problem with the previous dentist who worked there, god bless him.
The place has changed massively. I rang up yesterday and profusely apologised that I had missed my daughter's appointment, I know how annoying that is and I couldn't have been nicer about it or more apologetic. I was met with a cold female receptionist who simply said 'when was the appointment?', to which I responded and she said "yes there's a note from the dentist for no further appointments for her"- I questioned if it was correct as she's only 3 years old and she confirmed. I feel tremendous guilt as it is for missing the appointment, I sincerely apologised and was met with just a cold response.
Now if they really cared that you missed the appointment, like all other appointment led businesses in 21st Century they would have a reminders system set up so we don't waste their time and forget and it would give people a chance to cancel. Bear in mind, these appointments are booked MONTHS in advance. Google reviews have showed me that this happens all the time, even to those in worse positions than us. Someone said they don't want to bother with NHS patients anymore and take the first opportunity to get rid of them. You've lost a whole family here, my parents, siblings and in-laws left years ago due to similar issues and now we are all leaving too. Not that they care though, clearly.
Used to be amazing dentist when I was younger. What the hell has happened to this place. Staff are rude and can't take fault for their mistakes. Apparently both me and my son had appointments (bs as funny how all his medical appointments go straight into my diary). No one had informed me to let me know me and my son have basically been discharged when we've had no correspondence in ages of them. Now need to try and find a new dentist to take on a child with disabilities and complex needs and struggles to express his needs vocally. Great work guys ????
