We are on holiday in the area and was looking for somewhere to eat, that was dog and children friendly and i came across S&G bistro on trip advisor.
we was not disappointed. Beautiful cafe at the front and at the back, child heaven with a fantastic climbing soft play with 2 slides, 2 ball pits and lots more.
Great menu and everything thought of. plenty of high chairs and baby changing very close.
Upstairs are the toilets and a large book shop.
toilets were very clean.
The staff member was very welcoming and friendly.
Our 15 month old had a fantastic time and is now fast asleep.
Offers a surprisingly large choice of dishes, excellent quality food well presented. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. A superb place to chill and enjoy a great meal at very reasonable prices.
Went as we usually frequent the "Dragon Den" for kids - but sadly this closes at 5pm, but our little boy was having a good day and sat super well for his dinner.
The waiter was exceptional, super attentive and smiling and friendly.. his Italian personality shone through!
The food was a little hit and miss... my little boy had a Hawian Pizza which was absolutely delicious!!! Our calamari starters where ace - made from calamari steaks they really were tasty. The mains were were S&G fell a little flat, the T-bone steak was prepared rather oddly where it seemed to have had a mallet taken to it was more on the blu side and not rare as requested... after a "pounding" this may have required an adjustment in cooking time. The lamb shank, which fell off the bone, was drowning in gravy which made the mashed potatoes a bit "soggy"... I do like gravy but the plate was filled to the brim with it! HOWEVER, the great service made up for the mains and I would really highly recommend S&G to all visiting in Llangollen!

The menu had plenty to choose from.
The food we had was delicious!
Grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and the Caribbean chicken with coconut curry sauce we can highly recommend.
They have plenty of drinks to choose from too.
Only a couple of criticisms from us, the caramel latte tasted burnt and the table could do with a place mat or something to stop the plate moving when you try and cut your food.
Would definitely visit again!
Wow what an unusual place! Disgraceful food! How can you serve a potato which has been mashed throughout almost to a pulp then put on top of a few tiny ripped pieces of potato skin and call it a jacket potato? . Most bizarre place I’ve ever eaten in.
Llangollen is a lovely place to visit in Wales and we were on a high after going white water rafting the previous day and wanted to visit the following day but this place certainly put a downer on the whole holiday. Would have enjoyed just a basic whole potato instead of what you served me today.
Popped in for some food on my own on Saturday evening. I had the honey mustard pork loin which was absolutely delicious and a really generous portion size
We visited on a Sunday afternoon in January, the bistro wasn’t that busy and the food was amazing. Two of us had lasagne and I have got to say it was one of the best lasagnes I’ve had for along time. My husband had a pizza and said it was amazing. Will definitely visit again
A very confusing restaurant containing a rather noisy creche, and a bookshop! Had a full English breakfast, it was pretty standard! Probably wouldn't go there again.
Coffee was OK though.
