We were referred to this number as we weren't registered with any dentist in town and it was an emergency. The actual experience was pretty straight forward and the staff and doctors were really polite and competent. However, I'm dropping a star due to the horrendously long call waiting time. Took us almost 55 mins to get connected and we had started from being 7th in line.
called after being referred by 111, said that the only appointment I could have was in 10 minutes times, which I could not get to, so told to call back in the afternoon or tomorrow. called this morning to hear a voice message saying they're closed for staff training! unbelievable!!
Absolutely fantastic emergency dental service. Needed extraction. Everything was explained clearly by friendly and reassuring dentist and her assistant. A credit to the NHS.
This NHS dental practice is such a life saver. It took a while on the phone to get through but just 1 phone call sorted all my problems. I’m going from a single abscess to having 7 teeth removed through sedation. I have a massive fear of dentists 10/10. But the staff are so fantastic and polite they are making my treatment process very easy. I wouldn’t let a dentist touch my teeth and now they’re going to sedate me and remove all the teeth that need to be removed. I wouldn’t be able to thank the staff anymore than I can now. From crying in pain and fear to now be put at ease is a real challenge but the staff here have made it happen. Really it’s the staff and service that are top of the scale. Honestly if you need help you will get it. Just wait through the long phone call and believe in success. Massive thanks to every member of staff that has helped me.
How have I been in a call que for an hour & not moved a single place? Does anyone actually work here? There’s no way it takes an hour to book someone an appointment.
Most pleasant dental extraction ever! The receptionist was lovely and very helpful. And the 2 ladies in the surgery were just as lovely. They all made me feel welcome and at ease. An absolute credit to the NHS. I waited 1 hour on the phone to get an appointment and half an hour in the waiting room, but I don't mind because I'm pain free now thanks to these lovely ladies and their service. If only more people were this nice.????
Yes! They're busy, yes its a bit of a job to get through on the phone. BUT the service is 2nd to none. The staff here are doing the best they can given the high demand for NHS dentists. I suffer with anxiety especially when it comes to visiting the dentist. The women made me feel so comfortable and at ease. By far the least terrifying visit I've had to the dentist!
Useless, changed they queuing system so that you can't even wait in a queue to speak to someone. They just say they are busy and hang up.
Why can't people get signed on to a NHS dentist, like we are supposed too? This is appalling and forces people to go private to get any kind of treatment. Or perhaps this is exactly what's intended by our 'government'
