Really enjoy this bakery, plenty to choose from and good options. Having been recently updated/renovated, it looks really good and so glad this remained a basket from previous owners. Really enjoyed this.
I used this bakery many years prior to Ryders taking over and the food and service were 2nd to none. Unfortunately i popped in a little while ago granted around 7 am ish to be confronted by a miserable woman informing me that they didn't open till 8am! A bad enough experience for me never to return! Crusty Loaf for me lovely , happy helpful staff and quality food at very reasonable prices.
All seems fine here and I have called in many times for lunchtime sandwiches, rolls and even a 'mini roast' dinner - highly recommended as portion size is far from mini.
Nice modern interior, staff ok when you get to know them. Only downside is that they have a limited amount of any milk alternatives in the coffees and the ones they do say they do you get a 'we've ran out' reply. I would have hought after my 4th visit they may have thought 'we need to resock' but unfortunately they didn't so I now go elsewhere for my coffee when I'm in the area now.
As above though, great food, breads, cakes, sandwiches, warm snacks etc.
Recommended.
We come here a lot as my grandson loves the cheese straws. It is now even better zftef thr recent refit. A good selection of fresh pastries ???? cakes, savouries and bread. Pleasant and helpful staff. Parking outside for 2 cars and a large car park very close by.
I have never met such miserable staff like these were this morning. I greeted them with a good morning, zero response! Asked for bread rolls x30 as loads on shelf but was met with "next time order them" very poor service and atmosphere and I definitely won't be going there again. If you have stock to sell, then sell it. They had lots more rolls so I was not wiping out there stock.
When this was Thomas's it was a fabulous shop and staff. These ones require training in customer service skills. Urgently!
Lovely little bakery, we couldn't resist the fresh cakes in the window display so went in and was greeted by a very friendly lady and helpful young lad. Very hard to believe the bad reviews on here as we only had a pleasant experience and will most definitely return when we are in the area.
Very good bakery. The products taste amazing and the quality is high. A rare find. They serve nice coffee too.
Really nice cakes, a little pricey but well worth it. I had a custard filled donut and it was really tasty.
