We stumbled into this restaurant on a walk. Tourist stuff ya know. And we were blown away with how good the food was! The service was superb and quick too. If you're looking for a new place to try look no further :)
I ordered the stewed stake gravy and mash £10 it was full of gravy you had to (hunt for the meat) not value for money
Honestly. The reviews are right. What a great place! Found it by using Mr Google, as we were staying in a hotel 20 mins away but didn't fancy the hotel food (or prices!). Tje food was cooked fresh to order, the service was speedy and with a smile. Would I recommend this place and go here again?... oh yes indeedy.
There's no better way to start your day than a nice omelett! I had a Mexican one, followed with a nice strong coffee. The only thing I didn't like was the music, which was too loud.
Me and the family have been here multiple times for the last few years, it doesn't disappoint for each visit.
The location is pretty good, train station (Canning Town) is about 10mins away by walking, bus stops nearby too.
Food is pretty good, it doesn't take long once after ordering for your food to arrive on the table.
Staff have always been nice which is always good.
All in all, a nice place to eat.
As authentic as you can get.
The pasteis de nata were delicious and crunchy. I'd come back again.
Highly recommend! Wonderful cafe, fast service and food cooked perfectly! Waited less than 10 minutes for set 6 (egg, bacon, sausage, mushroom, bubble, black pudding and tinned tomatos served with toast and coffee) which was priced at only £8.50
I've lived in Canning Town for almost 2 years and only now do I visit this cute little cafe. I went along with a friend for the traditional full English breakfast. And wow, I wasn't disappointed! The food came out piping hot so you could tell it was freshly cooked and the eggs were perfectly fried. The prices are very reasonable, too. They even have an outdoor sitting area :) As for the service, it was top class from the moment we stepped in to the point of leaving. Although we had breakfast, the menu selection much more. I will definitely be returning here.
