Rang to make sure it was dog friendly spoke to Peter lovely friendly guy.
Arrived with our dog
Great place, small but lots outdoor since with Amazing views. We were served by Chloe
We each had a panini and a drink , very tasty great price.
Would highly recommend for the friendly welcome , great food and excellent views even on a rainy day.
We will be back on our next trip
Thanks Again ????
Great cafe/ bar that is licensed. The seating area is quite small inside, but outside, there are more tables with lovely views of the sea. The food is excellent, as is the staff who are friendly and efficient. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if in the Maidens area.
Very nice little restaurant with an awesome view. Staff were very good and friendly, food was very tasty. I will def be back.
It was a horrible wet and windy day and we need to get out inside. That’s when we stumbled across Ropes bistro, what a lovely place to step into. Instantly, you were greeted by a nice friendly face, shown to a seat, and given a menu. All of us had drinks and it’s of us commented on how nice
Had a couple of trips to the Ropes whilst visiting my Aunt & Uncle in Maidens. Including surprise birthday drinks with rest of the family!
Great service from the girls, especially Rachel, who were accommodating when we kept moving tables! Thank you for your patience ????
Cocktails and wines are great and reasonably priced and the pizzas are lovely.
It may be small but a really creative use of space and a nice outdoor area with beautiful views over Maiden's Harbour.
Look forward to the next visit!
Very cosy little place, a converted public convenience apparently, or so we were told by a local on the way there! We stopped in for a few beers on our way to Ayr. Not a great beer selection, very friendly a helpful staff.
Disappointing. We were looking forward to an evening with friends: food, drinks and fun. So an afternoon visit for a few of us to check it out. A rather curt service, no mention of the Local Cider promotion (I asked for cider). No dogs inside. So we were left a windy cold deck to sit on in the afternoon. It might be great on a hot sunny evening. But this time of year we shivered over a drink on the terrace and left asap. There was wifi. Sadly not suitable for our group evening meal together - inside could have been nice, we will never know.
As its so well positioned, I hoped it would be as welcoming as all the other places we visited around Loch Lomond earlier this week. Welcoming smiles to wet coats, dogs, kids, boots, etc : sadly not the case at Ropes Bistro. As said, it was disappointing.
Pleasant staff, lovely location & reasonable prices. Rachel looked after our needs admirably.
