Having not enjoyed such fresh and authentic Japanese cuisine in a long time. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, and the flavors were delightful. The visual preparation of the dishes was fascinating, allowing for friendly interactions with the chefs. The service was also excellent. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.
Glad I finally tried this place! Great aesthetic, contained menu. Everything we had we thoroughly enjoyed! Personal favourites were the salmon teriyaki and the tofu starter, definitely recommend. As a friend described it, it's not a "budget place", but it's worth the splurge!
Extremely impressive. I thought I’ll not find such nice place in Sheffield, usually everywhere is too loud for me. Here is great atmosphere, relaxing music, people sitting and peacefully talking with each other without trying to over scream the music???? Nice and helpful staff. Tasty high quality food, beautiful presentation. Had a lovely evening thanks to you guys!
Incredible experience! warm and welcoming from the start, watching our food being prepared in the open kitchen by the chef was a fantastic touch and a true reflection of the transparency and quality. The food was an experience by itself and is second to none!

I visited Roku with two friends and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed edamame, chicken karage, softshell crab roll, rainbow roll, Roku veggie selection, and the limited special - teriyaki pork kushi. We also tried a salmon and avocado sushi that wasn't on the menu but was specially made for us.
Our top picks were the softshell crab roll, teriyaki pork kushi, and the salmon and avocado sushi. They were all freshly made and incredibly delicious. The softshell crab and teriyaki pork were still hot and melted in our mouths. The salmon and avocado sushi was of excellent quality and a good size.
The portions were generous, and the staff were lovely. For authentic and high-quality Japanese food, we highly recommend Roku!
Roku accommodated us last minute for valentine's day. The service was very good and so efficient. The food was incredible. The wagyu carpaccio was some of the best food I've eaten. Everything was so fresh. Well worth visiting.
It’s my favourite Japanese restaurant in Sheffield! The food quality is top notch! Always serve customers with fresh sashimi! They change their special menu regularly and it’s really special! Love it! Highly recommended to everyone!
Food amazing! Service pretty good although a little slow at times. Restaurant set up nice enough but our table being closest to door meant i get an icy blast every time someone came or left (which is frequent given the alcohol service comes from over the yard). The one toilet area is pretty basic too, but accessible.
