We stopped off on a bike ride on Saturday. We parked in the pay and display bicycle bay so a little difficult in the motorcycle with it being gravel. All we did was pop to the Fish Box chip shop . Lovely views and a great meal
Kids portions for us with us been on a quick pit stop. Toilets are a key code so only chip shop people can use them . Good practise to keep it clean with the public ones being charged for a wee. X
Could be bigger, but in an excellent location at the very highest point where the village commences, and free for the winter months which is a generous bonus.
Be aware that there is another small car park a little past the chip shop but this is the official one. You also need to know that however beautiful and fascinating this place is, it is extremely steep and can be slippery if the weather is inclement, the journey down and back up is incredibly hard but also very worth the effort. You will be rewarded with beauty and drama for your effort.
Car park was perfectly placed for visit to Robin Hoods Bay
Wish we had cash as machine wasn't working for cards. Thankfully there was option to pay online. And online pay came with text warning it was about to run out so we had plenty of notice to add more time.
Robins Hood Bay, stunning area. Managed to park in the bottom car park which is nice and close to the village/sea. Toilets in the car park - 40p but they are SPOTLESS (when i went) too.
Great, pleasant picturesque little seaside town. Very hilly, loads of walks up and down all the side streets.walk along the cliff tops over looking the sea. Couple of shops, and museums full of fossil. Plenty places to eat. However parking is a problem so go early. Bus every half hour to whitby or Scarborough. Worth a day trip out.
Nice beach. Great village, steep hill, fossil hunting beach, nice fish and chips shops, beautiful village,
What an absolutely delightful place, if you live up North and was thinking of visiting Cornwall no need just go visit Robin Hood bay it's got everything you need there, it's in my too 10 of UK destinations be warned thou the cove walk is very steep and a super leg workout
Car park is free from October to End of Feb and gives great access to the North end of the beach.
Note the walkway down is in great condition but is steep.
