Cafe currently closed so this review is for the lay-by. Great parking spot. Canoe launching point. We brought our own food which was great! There is an interesting view from the pedestrian bridge over the river. The portaloo behind the portakabin is chained shut. Could all do with a bit of a clean.

Excellent alternative to Gregg's services down the road. If you want to queue for food while they serve customers at a rate of 1 every 5 mins then go to Gregg's. If you want a quality roadside cafe, quick and courteous service and fair prices then go a further few miles north and thank me later. This will definitely be my go-to rest break when I'm in this part of the country from now on.
Lovely lady serving lovely food! Well priced and well made, I had sausage bacon and egg this was a fiver, and the ingredients were of decent quality.
Beautiful spot. Stopped for a cuppa as it was raining. A welcome break from riding and it's a trailer so a dry order and on me way again. Great cuppa.
Lovely people & fantastic food. Everything done for social distancing & tea that tastes like you made it at home. Definitely recommend.
Great burgers and drinks there would recommend going there if you pass it or if your at gilfach since there is no cafe there. This is the menu if your interested
