We chose this B&B from a list included with a gift voucher for a single night stay, and were so pleased we did! Tucked away in a quiet village location just north of Weymouth, each room is accessed directly from the garden. Ours was spacious, spotlessly clean and fresh, with all the essentials catered for. A tasty, filling breakfast was expertly cooked by our host, who was happy to chat with us while we feasted. We really enjoyed our couple of days break in the Weymouth area and this B&B made our trip very comfortable.
We had a nice stay in this lovely B&B. Breakfast was amazing (full English breakfast really well cooked but we could also have cereals etc) and the hosts very nice (they gave us great tips to visit the coast). The garden was also nice. We just found that the room was a bit humid. ||Location is very convenient to go to Weymouth and visit the jurassic coast. There are also pubs in walking distance. We also appreciated the parking space.
Very pleasant B&B set in lovely natural gardens. Owner very friendly and helpful. Clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast. A nice place to stay and short drive to Weymouth and Portland. There is a pub/restaurant in the village within walking distance but booking a table is advisable.
Nice little B&B about 6-8 minuets drive for the centre of Weymouth . Bob was very nice friendly and helpful . Nice size room nice clean bathrooms. As a vegetarian I was slightly disappointed that there was no fresh fruit for a breakfast option. We had the middle room of the 3 and it was a well appointed room. Just wish the lights where a little brighter. ||Would recommend to friends. Very nice stay
This is a small B and B privately owned. Accommodation was in a converted stable block. Our room was very nicely decorated, Tea making facilites, TV etc. Large bathroom with the usual services, also well-equipped for a disabled person. The owner was pleasant and offered us quite a bit of information about the surrounding area.|An ideal place to stay for touring around Dorset and a very pretty village. The breakfast was very good, would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at the Riverhouse B&B began with a friendly welcome from our host, Bob, who showed us to our room in a block of just 3, overlooking a pretty garden. The room was fully equipped with plenty of storage, tea/coffee making facilities and a surprise extra of a small chiller! Breakfast was delicious, ample enough that we didn't feel the need to eat until quite late in the afternoons. Bob was very knowledgeable and was able to suggest various places of interest and told us about the history of the area. The Riverhouse is conveniently situated so that we could travel in either direction; Weymouth, Portland and also Dorchester and Lyme Regis. We thoroughly enjoyed out 2 night stay; our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer! Thank you Bob for making our stay so memorable.
Beautiful lodge, spacious rooms and spotlessly clean. Quiet picturesque location with Weymouth close by. Owners were polite and catered for all of our needs. Definitely pay a visit! If you're planning a peaceful get-away, this is the ideal place to go to.
Ours was a one night stop from NEXT Gift Experience and The Riverhouse was a lovely stopover for a 24 hr visit to Dorset. The host welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful with ideas for where to eat that night as we arrived later than expected at 7pm. He showed us to our chalet style room which was nicely furnished, clean and welcoming with free WiFi, mini fridge, TV central heating and an additional electric heater. It was October so the outside garden looked a little unkempt, but in a charming sort of way. We did notice in the morning that you can hear residents in the other chalets if they talk a little loudly which might bother some people if there are families with excitable children staying. Breakfast was served between 8-9 in the main house so you do have to go outside to get there...just a short walk around the garden but could be less pleasant if really cold/raining. But the breakfast was very good and nicely cooked - juice, tea & coffee, cereal, toast and of course, an English breakfast. Again, the host was attentive and towards the end of breakfast came and chatted to the guests, checking they were enjoying their trip and taking an interest in their holiday tales. The Riverhouse is just what you would expect from a good B&B: the basics are well covered, a few extras thrown in, clean, well presented and with polite and affable hosts.
