Had lunch today The food was excellent the service excellent too couldnt do enough for us.We all had different meals. The roast beef was outstanding big portions too 2 of us had vegetarian currys very nice and flavoursome The pasta linguine was also yummy
Baby highchairs Dog friendly and there is also outside seating although today wasn't a good day for that as it was raining. Will definitely go back reasonably prices delicious food .
An exceptional pub. A real happy find that we just chanced upon rather than searched for.
It has friendly, bright staff, a relaxed atmosphere, excellent door and beers, and beautiful views across Cornish countryside to the distant sea.
I could go on; easy parking, good value, and lots of outdoor seating which will be wonderful on a sunny day. Pubs like this are few and far between.
I have visited the Rifle a number of times as it is my local pub. Each time visiting has been a wonderful experience. The service is friendly and efficient, we have arrived today at opening without booking and by 12:06 (opening 12) we have a table suitable for our dog, drinks ordered and delivered and our food ordered. The food is exceptional, great portions and delicious, fresh and local produce. I feel very grateful to have this pub on my doorstep.
Fantastic tasting food and friendly helpful staff. All worked hard to cater to our large family of over 20 with different dietary needs and some crazy noisy family members.
Food was great, left us feeling stuffed with generous portion sizes at a very reasonable price.

Delicious Sunday lunch at the rifle volunteer. The food was well presented and cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely and friendly. Tastefully decorated with a conservatory that has has panoramic country views. Going to be one of my regular haunts. Very impressed
My husband and I went last night. It was a good experience, the service was lovely and the menu had lots of choice (see pics for the specials).
We had steak pie and chips - incredible! Beef bourguignon was tasty ( if a little too garlicky) and could have done with a green vegetable to offset the richness; the mash was tasty but lumpy…I was okay with that though. Desserts were delicious ice cream and the best sticky toffee pudding either of us have ever tasted. We’ll definitely be back!!
