Unfortunately very disappointed with my last visit to the garage.
I just needed an MOT and an annual service check and I’ve asked to have the annual service done before the MOT so that the MOT is clean.
I’ve mentioned it about 3 times on 3 different interactions and I was assured they’ll deal with it correctly.
The day of the service I receive a call saying the car failed because some consumables were worn outside of acceptable limits (wipers, breaks) and I disappointingly mentioned that I wanted to have the service first to avoid failures on the MOT, especially if they’re simple things like that. I was assured again that the MOT was not done and this will not be registered on the car’s historical MOTs.
After paying an unexpectedly high amount, I took the car away. As soon as I left the garage there was a strong sound coming from the front axel. The service had just closed so I took it back the next day check and the mechanic that worked on it the day before apologised for forgetting to tie in one of the cables so it was hitting another moving component with each wheel rotation.
Few weeks later I’m at a different garage to sort some of the minor bits and when checking, the historical MOT has failures.
Bottom line is: I’ve had about 3-4 separate interactions with the garage and on each occasion I made sure they fully understood that I want a clean MOT and that I want the service done before the MOT specifically to fix the issues before the MOT. I have been told every single time they understand the request and the reasoning.
They completely disregarded it. They also didn’t do the job right which meant I couldn’t use the car for the rest of that day + early next day.
Subsequently I noticed my plastic caps covering the wheel’s nuts are missing. Not an expensive issue to fix but a matter that I now have to deal with because of their poor service.
In the last week I’m also hearing a new sound coming from the front axle which is very similar to an issue they fixed just earlier in the year and was supposed to last me another 80k miles or so.
I’m sorry to leave this negative feedback but they’ve messed up on so many occasions this time and I’ve lost faith in their services.
In person everyone was kind and polite to me , hence the two stars.
I hope I’m just the exception to the rule though and that everyone else has fantastic experiences with them.

Brilliant garage, have squeezed me in when my mot was due even though they were busy. And actually ended up costing less than they first quoted due to being able to avoid the extra parts once the work started. I can't imagine most other garages actually saving you money like that! Very impressed!
Very rude customer service.
Never taking my car there again. Tried adding jobs on that didn't need it Worth £400. Took it to another garage and it didn't even need the work doing.
The woman in reception didn't book the right thing. The man is rude, obnoxious and definitely after conning vulnerable people out of money. Never going back there again
Got my car wheel bearing and suspension repaired here and their excellent and reasonably priced repairs has made them a go to vehichle repair service for me
Shocking attitude from the owner Richard! I wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone.
So helpful. Needed an mot done as mine had run out. Other garages couldn't fit me in for at aleast a week. Richards garage even tho they where busy fitted me in the next day. Great service,friendly staff very affordable.

Fast, friendly, straight talking and final cost was pretty much exactly what was quoted initially.
Moved down here from Manchester a few months ago and looked around for reliable mechanics. Found this place through a recommedation from a friend. Won't be going anywhere else in future.
