All cooked fresh, sausage and chips cost £7.50 and there was enough for 2....if I hadn't eat it all myself.... As it was so good!

Went in at lunch time today (11/11/2023) I ordered chicken curry and asked if I could have half fried rice and half chips with it - Bill came to £13:10 - just checked and the curry was £7:80 so I was charged £5:30 for half rice and half chips - the photos show the size of the portions - feeling ripped off
I’d heard about out this place from friends in Glasgow so targeted it to visit for an energy boost.

I was starved at the end of a long day's hiking and walked past this restaurant. I needed a quick fix with high carbs and I was craving some comfort foods after a more than a week of pub foods. After reading the reviews, I knew what I was getting myself into and it is Chinese food made to suit a sweeter and local palette. I ordered the sichuan chicken and the sauce used was obviously from a ready made jar but I was happy that it did have fresh chillies, onions and a few peices of green capsicum/pepper. The egg fried rice was tasteless and dry but luckily, the overly sauced chicken made up for that.
It is what it is, but some of the flavours hit the spot.
I really disliked the amount of waste it came in despite me eating in. At £10.30, at a touristy place, it was decently priced, the portions were good, and it was piping hot. The people behind the counter were friendly and the tables outside were a good way to enjoy the rare warm and dry Scottish summer.

Absolutely fabulous food! Great selection, and everything we've tried has been delicious. All freshly prepared to order.
After several wet and windy days hiking the West Highland Way my wife and I noticed this small Chinese/Fish & Chip shop opposite the Tailrace Inn. Pretty basic inside but sat and enjoyed a fantastic meal. Purchased sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, stir fried vegetables, vegetable spring rolls, and egg fried rice. Proved to be way too much for the two of us, BUT it was delicious- especially the lemon chicken. Very reasonable prices. For two people one main dish would have been sufficient (unless you’re really hungry). Highly recommend.
