Liked: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - We had such a lovely time staying on this site. It does just what it needs to do.
We came as a family of 6, older children and toddler.
We arrived on one of the wettest weeks they had, (obviously no fault of theirs) We were contacted but were on route, so when we arrived in our caravan. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
The week went on and we realised that the campsite was in such a great location to everywhere we wanted to visit, Abersoch, Porthmadog and Portmeirion and a few other places. So we couldn’t have been in a better location! Paying for the showers or supplying our own toilet roll wasn’t an issue at all, (after all, it was in the details when booking) because the price we paid for electric hook up is a fair ask from the campsite.
The kids loved the open space and play equipment.
So I don’t have a bad word to speak about this campsite, we had such a lovely break away, We will definitely be back (maybe when we know it won’t rain like hell again) Speaking to the amazing attentive owners, we now have other places we’re going to visit next time we visit based on places they’ve recommended. Thanks for a great visit with you guys xX
Liked: Check in was quick and easy by welcoming warden's, we were shown to our pitch and was told where the toilets (take your own toiletroll) and showers were, showers 20p for about 2 mins, plenty of hot water. Pitch was a decent size, we was on the field with the children's play area with plenty of room for them to play ball games. Toilets were a bit dated but was clean. We would definitely go back, it's a lovely little site.
Sat on site at the moment and what can I say. From arriving on site we got a fantastic warm welcome and were guided to our pitch, which was a great size. Toilet and shower facilities are spotless, luckily next to our pitch so was handy when the alcohol had taken effect.|The site itself is so peaceful no road noise just the sounds of the birds. Lots locally to do too with sone fantastic local beaches! |Will definitely be coming back!
Some reviews i read wasn't great but thought I would take the chance and make my own mind up, so glad I did. Park is clean, toilets/showers a little dated but clean (need to bring your own toilet roll which isn't a problem) we pitched on the field with the play Park, we could sit outside our tent and keep an eye on the children. Plenty of space on the pitch and between neighbours. The couple who run it are friendly and will always stop for a chat. ||Will be booking again next year.
Liked: Small site and we could park alongside the tent so no need to ferry things across fields, Kevin was great showing us around and saving the day lending us something we'd forgotten at home.
Plenty of other kids for my lad to play with, and site was quiet of an evening.
Pwllheli beach and Glasfryn Parc made for decent days out.
Disliked: Being so close to the sea in the mornings everything is that wet you'll think it rained through the night, that said it made for some beautiful sunrises.
Some of the play equipment was a little worn and showing it's age, but still safe and usable.
Phone signal was limited, had to travel into Pwllheli for any kind of reliable data connection
Liked: The site was well equipped with play area for the grandchildren. The showers were hot and for a £1 it was very good value. Lovely scenery and very handy for the seaside and shops. Lots of places to eat just a short drive away.
Disliked: The hot water for the dishes did cool off as the day went on.
Liked: My children loved the play park area and we loved the location - just 10 minute drive to Pwllheli and close to lots of other beautiful beaches. When we arrived our hosts gave us a warm greeting, and good clear instructions. We didn't have any issues but saw them regularly enough to have asked if we needed anything. The shower facilities were good enough for me! Old but clean! £1 for the shower in the field we were staying in and hairdryers free of charge.
Disliked: Unfortunately I did not know that the campsite was divided up into different fields so we were pitched up in a field away from the play park. Next time I will be requesting a pitch nearer the park! Due to the quietness of the campsite we were able to put our gazebo up in between mine and my Mum's tents (thank you lovely hosts!) but normally this is not allowed. We find a gazebo helpful when camping in drizzly conditions so it's worth baring in mind when booking.
Liked: Location is very good. Easy to get on and off pitches and site. clean and well maintained. Staff are friendly and very informative. Most pitches are level. Quiet time between 11pm and 8am. There is a dog walking field, adjacent to the camping field. Water supply to every pitch.
Disliked: Facilities could do with an update, but still clean and usable. Can get a bit water logged when it rains heavily. Showers are £1 for 5 minutes.
