The first time we went, the food was delicious. Crispy batter, crispy chips.. 2nd time we went, approx 8 months later, as it's not local to us, the batter was soggy..and the chips were limp and greasy, and also soggy. Couldn't eat any of it, despite being really hungry at the time. Doubt there will be a 3rd visit, as a result. Shame, as first time was truly excellent. I dont know if they have changed their cooking oil or something since, but it was a world away from our first visit.
Having said that, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was very cheery and prompt.
We had takeaway on both occasions due to having dogs with us, and we were on our way home from a long day out.
Brilliant fish and chips and friendly owners. VERY good value on the specials days, €7 for a small fish, chips, peas and a drink, and the fish wasn't very small.
Sadly we live a little far away to come regularly but probably the best fish and chips in Spain
Lovely welcome and fantastic food.
One of our party had mobility issues and their team were so quick answering queries we had regarding access.
The menu is varied, really good value and the fish and chips were absolutely gorgeous .
The chips were particularly good, and we can't wait to go back and try something else!
Great little slice of home in Spain, Good Quality food... the homemade pies are fantastic. We would eat here more if the air con worked, it is too hot and uncomfortable in the restaurant area. The terrace area is good, well shaded but people smoke outside and a non smoker it isn't nice when eating food. Choice of Drinks and Specials. Take Away available as well.
We visited this chippy again today, three years after the last time. There's been some changes. The interior decor has been substantially improved. It's now modern & airy inside and they've still got the al fresco area out the back. The one thing that hasn't changed is the food. It's still excellent! I've only given them 4 stars this time but they can remedy that by adding a nice black pudding to the menu. ????????
We just had a takeaway and It was absolutely amazing. Lovely battered fish, stake pie to dye for, burger and 4 huge portions of chip's ( homemade ????). Good food /good value... I am absolutely amazed. Thank you and congratulations to the chef ????????
Went to visit today only to find it closed. Would be helpful if they updated their website to say they would be closed till 1st November
Visited last night Friday , very disappointed the fish batter was bright yellow, as if it had been coloured, the batter was also very salty and not properly cooked , very sticky uncooked batter next to the fish , don’t know whether the management has changed , very disappointed ????
