Am 26. Dezember 2020 durften wir mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen Raclette vom Feuer geniessen. Wir freuten uns am freundlichen, zuvorkommenden Service, am warmen Ambiente mit Kaminfeuer und am ausgezeichneten Raclette, mit vier verschiedene Käsesorten vom Wallis. Das Restaurant heisst heute "La Paix - La Grange". Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Superschnelle und freundliche Bedienung, scheint ein eingespieltes Team zu sein. Mann fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Essen ist sehr gut und man wird auch freundlich und gut beraten ❤️
Schönes Ambiente, nette Bedienung, gute Karte. Das Cordon-bleu ist sehr lecker, die Preise moderat. Chemineefeuer sorgt für eine heimelige Atmosphäre. Wir kommen wieder!
Wäre der Rotwein nicht so kalt gewesen (10-12°) gäbe es ☆☆☆☆☆

If you like (excessive amounts of melted) cheese, you need to try their edible bowl cheese fondue! It is served inside the bread you dip in it, but luckily you also get a few pieces of bread on the side to get you started. Staff is friendly, and the view from the glass-enclosed patio offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
Today's driving course for Olivia took us to Evolène, almost in the bottom of the Herence valley in Wallis, a slightly depressing place in the absence of snow at this time of the year. She had her share of hair-pin curves and driving through the thick cloud cover and since we were approaching the time when no more food is served for lunch, we stopped at La Grange, a family run eatery in the very center of Evolène, serving Wallis specialities, or as they state on their menu, specialities from the Valley. You are well received and served what is popular in this part of the world. The only vegetarian dish on the menu besides salads we could find was macaroni mixed with potatoes and grilled under a cheese cover. I had an entrecôte put on a piece of hot slate which is a safe bet for the cooks, since the guest is responsible to do the cooking to his taste. Since I prefer blue, I need to eat very fast, sometimes complicating my digestion. Their wine list is typical of Wallis, i.e. well garnished with local wines. Recommended!

Choix varié de plats, de la viande sur pierre ollaire aux fondues diverses, dont celle servie dans du pain.
Pour notre part nous avons opté pour un filet de poulet aux morilles et une cuisse de lapin et polenta. Suivis d'une crème brûlée à l'abricotine et d'une coupe Guadeloupe (glaces avec cerises amarena). Et un excellent Humagne Réserve des Chasseurs de Biollaz à Chamoson.
Sans oublier le service très sympa. Et la visite des patrons lors du repas.
