I had a nice pizza, freshly cooked. The base had a slight crispness to it which I found unusual but was nice. There was plenty of topping and cheese. The service wasn’t very personal and I was left standing for a while before being acknowledged despite there being three staff members in view. Prices are reasonable. Street parking (free) outside the takeaway. I noticed that delivery is also available but also witnessed them taking the phone out of the socket as the phone wouldn’t stop ringing.
Food is cooked to order. Rather expensive compared to Hawick for fish and chips. I was told 10 minutes to cook took longer. The fish was over cooked and very greasy the batter very chewy. Chips were OK but for £9 quite a small portion. The staff apart from the guy who took my order looked miserable not one smiled or even engaged with customers. Personally I would not recommend or use again.
We were in the area on Friday t-time. I checked Google for the best rated chip shop and thought we would give this a whirl. The food was made to order which is good however the fish was very greasy as was the king rib. If I was back in the area I would probably try somewhere else.

Extremely concerned about highgene none of them where wearing gloves. Plus one of them found it impossible to understand that I might only want 2 portions of chips not 4. Very unprofessional and would never come back.
After all of that the food was mediorce.
Was down from West Barns today with my Dad. I had Fish Supper and he had single Fish. Thankfully we had to wait for fresh fish and it was very tasty. Chips were lovely.
Food was good, and it was cooked while you wait, so very fresh and hot. Very extensive menu.
Lovely chippy meal looking forward to eating a pizza or kebab next time
