Excellent food! Especially the curries which were enjoyed by several of our party of 7 - I recommend the Punjabi Chicken. We booked in advance as we were a larger party, and pre-ordered so our meals arrived quickly. Drink prices very reasonable. One thing to note is that dogs are only allowed in the back restaurant area, and outside. Would recommend if in the area!
Love it here in this atmospheric village pub. Nita and Mager are excellent hosts, the curries are authentic and tasty and the locals are friendly. Hidden gem off the beaten track but worth checking it out, you won’t be disappointed!
A true hidden gem in north wales.
a real country pub with a great village community.
Nita and major were fantastic hosts from the minute we entered the door.
Real open fires and real home made curry’s in a truly beautiful traditional country pub.
The chicken Punjabi and masala fish nann were just unbelievably amazing.
Well priced and great portions.
Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
An absolute hidden gem. Lovely traditional old pub with cosy and interesting interiors.
The curry was the best part! So fresh and authentically cooked. We were all so happy and full!
We were a big group of 8 so they warned us the food would be a little while as it's a small family pub, but the wait wasn't too bad at all considering and the service was very friendly.
Board games and books were a nice bonus too, as we had a small toddler with us
A lovely traditional pub, not much atmosphere or a great welcome from the landlord. If you're in the hospitality business, at least try to smile and say a few words. A god bar and choice of drinks, food portionswere small and food not great, very average. Ordered veggie samosas for a starter and recieved 1, a single samosa charged at 2.95...tasted OK, but stingy really. Scampi and chips for the main- tiny amount for 13.95. Husband had a burger which wS 14.95 and average. Was overcharged too. Not a great experience, would not eat here again. A lot more could be done to improve this lovely pub.
A wonderful gem of a pub hidden in a small village well worth a detour to visit.
Well worth a trip to a secret hidden gem of North Wales. Nita & Major made us feel welcome. Food was amazing. Everyone should try it.
A very warm welcome awaits! Good real ale, and fabulous home cooked curry to boot. It's a somewhat large pub but still feels cosy and intimate inside. The area around the pub is sublime.
