After reading some reviews on here, you can be dubious of course. That was until we tried it ourselves and WOW! We ordered the burger box & the kids some food. Everything was cooked perfectly, well presented and it felt ‘clean’ inside the shop with friendly staff all round. Very impressed and will happily go back thank you
Do NOT buy pizza from here. I ordered a pizza here today and was shocked at what i saw.
The guy behind the counter said to me it will be 20 mins, which is fine.
So i popped to the shop next door to kill some time and what do i see.... him walking out with a FROZEN pizza. I looked him in the eyes and he said "oh dont worry ill put extra bacon on it".
£12 that cost me. When i could buy it next door for £3.
Like really... thats not right. If he cant make it or hes to busy, just tell me no. I would be fine with that.
Received the wrong order multiple times, can be sat there up to half hour if you haven't ordered in advance. Tried a couple of times and always an issue
The chips are not great, too many crispy bits and not enough actual chips !! and they were almost stone cold living only a couple of minutes away. Doner Kebab meat was ok but way to much grease. Similar experience on previous visits so clearly no effort to improve….
Fish and chips are excellent, always fresh and well cooked. They don't do curry any more, but all the traditional fish, pies sausages etc are Bob on.
Fantastic battered sausage and chips, decent portion and reasonably priced. Will definitely return again on way home from Coleford to Newent.

Decent food and reasonably priced. I had mixed meat and chips and couldn't fault it. Only small issue was the salad is very basic, just lettuce and tomato.
Went there for the first time on Saturday because the one we usually used had closed. Will definitely go again - best fish and chips we have had for a long time.
