Food was high standard. Booked in for the valentines day meal for 2. Service was amazing, the steaks asked for medium-rare, came exactly as we ordered it. All the accompanying food was hot with it. The homemade peppercorn sauce was gorgeous, best peppercorn sauce I've had in years, delicious. The table layout was very pretty with fresh flowers and candles. Staff really attentive and service prompt. Lovely clean establishment, and generally warm and pleasant atmosphere as usual.

Arrived their with some walking friends 35in total…. cheap prices good service BUT to be honest the outside is not inviting looks quite rundown but once inside WOW WELL DONE new owners you should all be so proud of the work so warm and inviting fresh paint and lovely and warm to sit in …you all have done a great job and I can see this going to be a great place to go and Grandmas home made scone are amazing so yes we would go back ????????
Decided last minute to treat my hubby to lunch & I’m so glad I did ????. The food was delicious ???? & very filling complements to the chef ! ( I’m a really picky eater ) The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere & decor is so warm & welcoming . This is just what Darvel needed a nice warm welcoming place to have a great lunch at a fantastic price . They also do a great breakfast that’s fantastic value money too . If you’re looking for value for money & a welcoming place I would 100% recommend this fantastic pub . Please stop by for some food /drinks & say hi to them if you’re passing through or live locally you won’t be disappointed . They are dog friendly too
A fantastic welcome from Megan & team for our pre arranged post walk refreshments of freshly baked scones cream and jam with teas & coffees and lots of reasonably priced beers and wines for the others. Great friendly service and we will definitely book again when walking near Darvel thanks again,

Real home cooked food at unbelievable prices, service that makes you feel like you’re a valued friend and not just another customer. I stumbled upon this great pub while visiting my family in Darvel and we had two super evenings together. Definitely will be back…

Food was very filling and exceptionally priced. Very friendly staff, courteous and prompt service. If you need to sit in and get nice food at a great price in Darvel this is your best move.
