Went to RIAT23 and had a great time apart from some occasional downpours. Unfortunately the food stall (german sausage) in the hospitality area was both uber expensive and staffed by rude and unhelpful staff; it was also card only! Getting into the event was a nightmare made worst by the staff directing the traffic to the parking sites. However not withstanding those issues both the static and flying displays were outstanding.
Awesome place, particularly for the yearly Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) displays, in addition to regular U.S.A.F. Long range bomber deployments.
Great airshow. Absolutely excellent displays. There were also good exhibits and activities to do.
After two years wait finally got to the air show and what a brilliant day. From the start parking was extremely well organised and managed. Once inside we were face with a wonderful array of aircraft from the past, now and future. After walking round we found a good spot to sit and then spent several amazed, excited by the most wonderful air display. ( Note: if you can take some seating) A great day out. ????
My only comment leaving the car parks can take a long time so make sure you are comfortable with a long wait. Once out, again the organisation of the road rout was excellent ✈️
Went for Riat 2022 for the first time and I absolutely love this place.
Fantastic 3 day event, with plenty of facilities, there was water bousers supplying fresh water due to the high temperatures.
Plenty to see and do,
Airshow itself was amazing with some fantastic flying.
The static display was amazing, as were all the people on the stands, and displays.
Downside was the parking almost a mile away, and the getting out from the main carpark.
Most of my experiences were good. Portable toilets now avaable , excellent and last year extra outdoor/garden seating was added to the air base..
Went for the RIAT 2023 air show as a volunteer, it was great, food was great, people were lovely; however the weather wasn't great for a couple days but it was super good to see jets and aircraft from all around the world
RIAT 2022, first event since 2019 and cancellations due to Covid. Superb weather all weekend for flying displays.
