Best KPortal Reviews
I'm not sure if they actually have any rooms available at the moment. It seems to be in a perpetual state of renovation as far as the hotel side of things anyway. The bar on the other hand gets five stars for this reason. The barman knew how to serve a pint of Guinness correctly. If you don't and you work behind a bar go and watch how this man does it. I lament the lost art of pulling a pint of Guinness. It really was a joy that he did this. The pool table is in excellent shape. If you enjoy your pool you'll love this table, true and straight. The bar had several fisherman types discussing the ones that got away. It was the regional sea fishing meet nearby. It kind of gave the place an authentic feel. I'd go back for the Guinness, the pool and the vibe. Cool, no frills
Didn't stay as in a campervan, but an excellent welcome from the locals, Tyler behind the bar was a star and everywhere was clean and tidy. Recommend you visit if you are in the area if you enjoy a good night in the local. Great atmosphere
The best pub in Scotland.
A "locals pub". Great atmosphere, friendly, good selection of single malts. Although not a place for a romantic meal for 2. Excellent food always of very good quality. Building could benefit from a bit of TLC.
fantastic friendly local and it's up for sale at moment ????
Thus pub saved my life when out cycling in the rain. Forever grateful for the real open fire and superb food. Could eat my own weight in those haggis bites...Cheers!
Amazing malt whiskey selection, with very cosy traditional pub, and great locals who make you feel welcome n happy . Most southerly pub in Scotland
We popped in here as passing through for a pot of tea just before Christmas. Lovely old pub and a really warm welcome from both the landlord, staff and the roaring log fire, thank you.
