Coffee was ok and we were able to sit I some comfy seats for an hour while waiting for our ride.
The main problem is there's no bin so everyone leaves their coffee cuos all over the tables. Didn't see the staff come out once to clear them.
We bought food on our way back from a meeting, about 14:30. The only staff member was pleasant. The food is quite expensive but the location is convenient if you short in catching a train. Not much choice of warm food, we could feel that's not a goal of the shop, though the shop still has few toast and other warm sandwiches. Overall okay, but wouldn't recommend unless you in rush due to the prices
Terrible atmosphere, person behind the counter looked dead inside, they then tried telling me that a steak slice was not available in a meal deal but a sandwich was???. Would not eat here if it was the last place on earth.
People these days complaining about how good the flat white is or whether it is a flat, that's me...... Flat white in two sizes, which wasn't a flat white, just a cappuccino and the coffee is tasteless. Good service though.
It is Sunday and I was sat for literally 2 minutes in the empty Pumpkin cafe waiting for a friend before deciding what to buy. A rude man called Adrian, approached me and announced that he was the general manager and I had to leave if I wasn't buying anything! I have spent a fortune on overpriced teas, coffees and food for many years on my daily commute for work and always have a laugh with the ladies that work there. My first encounter with this officious, important jobsworth has left a bitter taste.
I have found the service in this cafe to be equally hit and miss. There's one lady who is consistently friendly, however I've also had the experience of slipping over on a floor that had just been washed but was unsigned, and the staff present then couldn't have cared less. I avoid it where I can as it's generally overpriced and underwhelming, but it is useful for a warm rink if you're running late.
Oh dear, I really want to give a better review, we so need a good railway station cafe too. But, sadly this venue falls short. I hope they pull their socks up and this is just a blip. But the coffee was well, not great, the bacon buttie was yuk, I pulled the bacon out, ate that. The bread was inedible. Not good.
Fantastic staff, couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Wonderful range of products and offerings. A lovely experience all considering. Would highly recommend and visit again.
