After spending £30 on a chippy for 3 of us we sat down to eat it and a few mouthfuls in my son spat a chip out and said ewww what’s that,,, when we looked it was two little stones!! My partner called them to explain what had just took place and the owner said ‘Well this does happen sometimes when we prepare the food’. He didn’t seem at all bothered about it and said we can have a free bag of chips on our next visit!! ???? Think I will pass thanks George!!
Chinese dishes are amazing ????, English food is delicious. Proper chips are quite chunky too. My new fave takeaway thank you
One of the nicest takeaway chips I've had, 2nd time was just as good as I wondered if I were just lucky the first time, looking forward to trying something else next, only had the chips pie and curry so far.
It’s always a treat to have a takeaway from here. George and everyone are always helpful and the food is always good.
I’d recommend ordering by phone to save sometime, but even so at busy times there can be a little wait. There’s a good range of traditional chippy dishes as well as Chinese food.

Can't go wrong with your choice of food here - always fresh and tasty and great value for money with huge portions. The wait is worth every minute and testimony to it's popularity. Great customer service. Can't wait to come back. You won't regret trying!
Got Chinese takeaway for first time a few weeks ago and food was excellent, although a bit pricey and long wait. Went during the week and food was absolutely terrible. We ended up picking out the bits we could eat, but the vast majority went into our food recycling bin. Big disappointment, especially as we paid about £34 for takeaway for 3 people. We won’t be returning. There are much better places locally.
I struggle to believe the positive reviews for this place. The wait was extremely long 30mins+ if it wasn’t for paying first I would have walked out. I can’t remember having such bad fish and chips made worse by the wait and above average prices. If you intend on charging handsomely, keeping the customer waiting and serving them rubbish you won’t have any customers left! We are not here to do you a favour.
Yummy food, I think we have found our new favourite chippy!!
