Best fish and chips in Cornwall, really reasonably priced and spot on for portion sizes. Excellent, friendly service and the food delicious. Whether you’re from the village or passing through definitely give them a go if you’re wanting a decent chippy.

Well the battered fish didnt look very nice the batter looked brown and burnt, but upon tasting the batter and fish tasted so good and the chips were so good, so don't let the look of the batter put you off.

Best fish and chips about, really reasonably priced and spot on for portion sizes. I was recommended going here so it was my first visit and I can’t fault them. First time trying there food. Not what I was expecting. Heard so many good things and was a bit disappointed. The batter on the fish was very dark. Almost burnt. Also had a weird taste. The chips LARGE portion was small. Compared to other I've used before.

Very disappointed ... It was the worst fish and chips I've ever had... I have never seen batter separate from the fish before... The batter was very dark and left a horrible after taste... Maybe the oil needs refreshing. Definitely won't be back......

Nearly 2 years without having fish and chips in what I consider the very best place in Cornwall. Thankyou for being consistent, always polite and never disappointing. The probus chippy is simply the best.

The worst Fish and chips I’ve ever had. Dark brown greasy slimy batter that stuck to the paper. Left an awful aftertaste four hours after eating. Under cooked pale chips. Such a shame when it costs so much (they only accept cash!!). Ended up in the bin.

Yes I am a local... and I won’t be going back.

Thought I’d give them the benefit of doubt. Really wish I’d stuck to Truro.
