Food is good (but more expensive than other branches somewhat), coffee is good (but, again, more expensive than other branches). My issue is the staffing.
Expect a smile? No, that’s too much. Conversation, absolutely not. You WILL stand in silence as the staff will not talk to you and will death stare you should you dare think of talking to them.
Also, the baby chance facilities are cramped.

Definitely Pret is always a hit. Great variety of fresh and healthy food. And with pleasant service ????????
While I thoroughly enjoyed the service, especially from my favorite barista who not only made amazing coffee but also crafted beautiful coffee art, I must express disappointment in the overall management. The recent departure of the exceptional barista raised questions about the management's ability to retain valuable staff. I hope the management addresses such issues to maintain the quality of service that initially drew me to this establishment. Moreover, I plan to follow the barista wherever he goes, as his skills and service are truly exceptional.
Good to see Pret back in Chichester.
One slightly negative point, they do not do a simple Filter Coffee. That was always a favorite for many in the past.
Do understand operating costs are currently much higher, but bringing back a simple filter coffee, at around £1.00 per cup, will increase customer foot fall considerably - and they are then likely to purchase other products at the same time.
Always a better choice of food here than some other coffee shop chains, but not cheap unless you're a member of their loyalty scheme which costs £30 per month.

I went there last Saturday afternoon (18th Nov) and bought a coffee to drink in at about 4.50pm. At 5pm an assistant came over and rather roughly told the few of us who were still in the shop that they were about about to close, so please drink up and leave asap. So much for customer service! Pret may have returned to Chichester but I certainly won't be using it again.

I've been a loyal subscriber to Prett for quite some time now, drawn in by their coffee subscription. However, my recent experiences have left me contemplating a switch to another coffee shop in Chichester.
The issue lies not with the brand as a whole but with a particular staff member whose customer service skills have been less than satisfactory. Every time I approach the counter, I'm met with a attitude that can only be described as sarcastic and irritable. It's disheartening to encounter such a stark contrast to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere I've come to associate with Prett.
Despite my love for the brand, this recurring interaction with one staff member has begun to overshadow the positive aspects of my visits. It's a shame that the actions of a single individual can have such an impact on the overall experience with a brand such as Prett.
I've raised the issue to the attention of the management in the hope that it can be addressed and rectified, however disappointingly this has not been resolved. As a customer, I value not only the product but also the service that comes with it. It's my sincere hope that Prett takes customer feedback seriously and works towards maintaining the warm and inviting atmosphere that sets them apart. Until then, I'm left considering other options in Chichester for my daily caffeine fix.
