Came here as I had a leak in my exhaust and I wanted some other work done, great service. The workers were very welcoming and professional. I would defo come here again.

Proper family run business and know what they are talking about.
Always very thorough and know the service is being done well and competently.
So I have no hesitation whatsoever awarding this garage 5 stars and they deserve it.
I took my BMW in because I noticed an oil leak. Raj was amazing from start to finish. He explained what the best procedure was diagnosed the problem and fixed it within a great time and price. Strongly recommend this garage.
I took my car to 4 different garages and they all told me I needed new exhaust system bmw were charging me £2400 just for the middle box and then told me I needed a new manifold and were charging £250 an hour. Portman garage fixed it in a day and half and were very cheap lovely friendly staff with great customer service, I will be recommending them to all my friends and family. Thanks guys much appreciated.
First time done MOT here with my VR5, updated before any changes, given options where possible kept the time schedule as agreed priced fairly.
Also, he did really gone through the car given suggestions for me who knows my cars inside out.

A great place to get your car fixed. They are engineers who would rather fix something then replace a part which is cheaper for us and means less waste. The service is always warm and friendly and the advice is good. I have to travel a few miles to get there and it is well worth the effort for a garage you can trust. Recently I have had new tyres & battery and they were cheaper than all of the big chains on both counts. I have been using them for over 12 years and will definitely continue in the foreseeable future.
I can't recommend Portman Garage highly enough. This is a wonderful, family run garage that obviously take great pride in what they do and their reputation. They understand that problems with your car can be very distressing, not least because of the expense. Joanna went to great lengths to explain what the problem was with my car and what solutions were on offer, what was necessary and urgent and what might need to be done at a later stage - all with well considered and very reasonable quotations. Overall I had great customer service and felt that my car and i were very well looked after. I won't consider going anywhere else next time.
I went to an Audi dealer and they wanted £1400 to sort out my smart key on my Q5, and they wanted to keep my car for two weeks. I decided to go for a second opinion, kept the car for one hour and sorted my key problem for £80. Will definitely recommend this garage, great service and value for money.
