Best KPortal Reviews

This is a lovely garden and café. It is a small place run by the owners and other enthusiastic and friendly people, so do not expect corporate service or a vast menu. It is a gem which I hope will stay personal yet successful. I trust that those giving unfavourable reviews will leave the place for the rest of us to enjoy.
Not the best set up but i suppose at least its dog friendly. Found it very expensive. A tea and coffee x 2 pasties came to £16......would probably be better in the summer in the outside space
The food is pretty good, locally made and normally well prepared and served. There can be inconsistencies as its locally hand made, but that's part of the joy!
Best part for me after a long walk with the pup is the Doggy Ice Cream, snacks and free water to fill their drinking bowl. The puppy loves this place as much as I do now he knows he gets treats too!
Only one person serving, so a bit of a wait to get served. Luckily they queue was relatively short.
Nice coffee and sausage roll.
Handy cafe for drinks and snacks after a walk around Ickworth Park. Snacks are limited, but those we've had have been very tasty. Super dog friendly with free treats and beds and mats for your furry (and often muddy) friend to lay on. It's basic but it's welcoming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Limited seating indoors with plenty more outside.
Unfortunately we visited the cafe today (Team Blair roadtrip with my partner and 2.5 year old daughter)
The service and acknowledgement that we were waiting for human interaction was non existent.
We turned up at 12:20 when there were a few people inside but after numerous attempts to make eye contact we left.
I am sure service is usually good (as expected for a National Trust establishment) but the person behind the counter today was not present.
No cakes left at all by 3 o'clock. I know they don't want waste but that's ridiculous. Coffee and a slice of cake is a treat after a Sunday walk, coffee and a bag of crisps isn't. Service was pretty slow but it always is.
Lovely cafe. Dog friendly. Quite a few if the food options were unavailable by 1.30, but the cornish pasty and trillionaire shortbread were yummy. Good coffee too!
