Used be our go to sandwich shop but this place has hit rock bottom. Formally you'd expect to stand in a queue waiting upto half an hour for a delicious sandwich. Now you are pretty much in and out in seconds, that shows the measure of this mighty fall from grace. The new owners have pretty much all but destroyed this place and reputation and wow the sandwiches are ridiculously over priced, over £10 for 2 x 3 filling sandwiches, I thought I'd be getting half a pig on my butty but all I received was an over cooked dry sandwich with a egg not fit for a dog. After probably 25 yrs of visiting, this was the last!!
To be brutally honest. I was disappointed. I I had a sausage, cheese and bacon oatcake. Honestly wouldn't wish the food on my worst enemy. And they accept card but only by bank transfer. Just felt really sketchy
As a wagon driver I tend to try alot of breakfast places. £4.30 for a bacon and egg bap is slightly on the expensive side, and it was pretty terrible. Ok - it is a big bap however the bacon was cooked and re-cooked, and the egg was not cooked with love either, lots of grease and a yolk that was mingled into the white after it clearly popped in the pan. Doesn't get my seal of approval.
The food from pings has always been brilliant and this last time was no exception, my only gripe with the place is the price. Its nearly double other sandwich shops in the area
Bacon hard over done sausage same, best thing about the sandwich was the bread. £7 for a breakfast stick I wouldn't feed my dog with.
Ney again
Good Fresh food at a reasonable price
It was OK for a quick breakfast sandwich expensive
Used to be great. Been going downhill since new ownership. Had our last breakfast from here this morning. Sausage and a meagre portion of cheese on a burned baguette. The wife had sausage n cheese oatcakes. Just a blob of cheese in the middle and sausage placed in the centre, the rest was just left uncovered. No customer service skills at all (or just plain rude).
