Absolutely disgusting. Never had such a terrible takeaway. Unfriendly rude lady who served us. Chips were brown and black and shrivelled. Not fresh potatoes. They tasted as though they had been cooked, left for hours and then re cooked when we walked in. Fish was swimming in brown and yellow oil. Oil hasn't been changed in months probably. Inedible. Went in the bin. This area needs a new fish and chip shop. Other reviews have said they ended up sick, not surprised.
Absolutely awful food, the chips were disgusting, greasy and smelt like they had been cooked in very old oil. The chicken was extremely dry and the sausages in batter were very fatty and so greasy that the batter hardly stuck to the sausages. Without a shadow of a doubt the worst chip shop food we have ever had!@@@
Ordered takeaway of sausages and chips. Very pleasant and chatty staff. Food was decent, no issues.

Quick, tasty, reasonable and freshly fried. Curry sauce and battered sausage were banging. Shame they don't sell saveloys. Cash only but no problem with that. Lady at the counter was very helpful.
I can't fault the food we received from here. The only complaint we had was the reduced menu. No saveloys or fried chicken. And mince and onion pie.

I'd probably share similar sentiments with the reviews below. The large mature lady couldn't give a damn for any custom with her miserable carefree attitude. Tension between staff. Requested a fork and napkin like this was some major inconvenience? Also in this day and age why would you serve the chips wrapped in paper in a polystyrene container and plastic fork? Food was average.
Popped in for a takeaway for two around half five Saturday evening. Cod, chips, mushy peas, and curry sauce. Lovely piece of fish, nice light batter and well cooked. Chips were good too. Peas and curry sauce rounded everything off nicely. Efficient and friendly service, reasonably priced, and ready in an instant. Perfect !!
Totally disgusting fish was like rubber chips were dark think they may have all been a few days old the oil clearly has not been changed in a while. Its a shame they used to be so good will not be going back
