My father passed away in December 23 and I let Eon next know straight away to be told his account would be placed on hold with the standing charge to be paid on receipt of the final meter readings to settle the account.
Like most people I was shocked to find out the account had been passed to Phillips Cohen and Associates and contacted Eon regarding the matter where I made a complaint regarding their process which was upheld, I settled the account but received a letter from Phillips Cohen a couple of days later so contacted them.
I have to say I spoke with a lovely lady called Cora who was very supportive, helpful and friendly being reassured that the account was in credit and having it explained to me that they are a specialist in dealing with such issues.
At no point did I experience any of the negativity in the previous comments and can only say I found what she had to say to be nothing more than positive.
Yes I was asked about if I had probate and how far along I was with settling my father’s affairs but that’s it.
I felt reassured of their intentions and can only say don’t contact them with negativity as they are supportive and helpful..
Read the reviews as my son passed away suddenly last year..I informed p&c at the 1st opportunity whilst still grieving. There wasn't any money left to even pay for his funeral I did...and yet...they have still been ringing leaving msgs emailing me...now leave me alone do you not realise how much more stress you cause by harassing families who have lost loved ones? Hope it never happens to you.. And no!!! do not need the generic reply thanks...
Paid EON Next directly month's ago as I'm named Executor, but these guys still sending me the bill. Sent the statements proving paid, but not holding my breath for a reply.
Please add the usual copy and paste response to confirm you're more concerned with how you look online rather than putting the resources into doing your jobs.
Just to add they phoned me up a few weeks after this, asking what I was doing with the property. Told them not very politely to FO, nothing to do with you.
I told the agent to get her phone out and phone Eon and I'll stay on hold.
Obviously refused, so I asked if her supervisor could, no just carried on trying to get me to pay something that wasn't owed.
Frankly disgusting conduct, just debt collectors who don't give a stuff.
I look forward to my next call from them, where I will advise them of harassment.
These onanists continually harassed my mother who had dementia.
As I was not the account holder they would not discuss with me, her son, even though I explained she had dementia they continued.
She went in a home and they continued it was only when I threatened to attend their offices in person with evidence from a physician they stopped.
On her death some 2 months later the solicitor paid them.
My mother passed away and had a £500 dual fuel bill outstanding with Shell. They seemed pleasant enough when I spoke to them but when I went to pay the final bill by bank transfer a warning came up on my banking app saying their details could not be confirmed and it could be a scam so I opted to contact Shell direct and pay them. I didn’t feel comfortable paying them the money, especially after reading these reviews.
Just ignore! They are chasing a debt that doesn't exist. Experian report on a late relative showed no debts outstanding. This is either a fabrication or an old debt from years ago that has been written off. Scammers, you should be utterly ashamed of yourself targeting people at such vulnerable times...absolutely disgusting, talk about scraping the barrel!
Appalling service. Despite advising them that the account they are chasing is with the Financial Ombudsman they have continued to chase with numerous emails and letters weekly. Despite the original disputed amount with my insurer of just £23 they have added fees to make the amount £89 now. They haven’t been able to confirm what the additional fees are or provide any documentation to justify the fee despite a data protection request that they still have failed to provide fully.
My mother died 4 months ago...she had a Shell energy outstanding bill of £2,000+...She managed to get it down to £600~ and this lot is chasing it for Shell...Absolutely disgusting and morally wrong, Have some morals! Absolute disgrace! Let's not forget shell made £7.7 billion ($9.65bn) for the first quarter of 2023. They should be put in prison. I'll be calling you later this week!
